What you will be doing
As a Production Worker - Sanitation at our ice cream plant, you will be responsible for ensuring that all production equipment and areas meet strict cleanliness and hygiene standards. You'll play a critical role in maintaining food safety protocols by cleaning and sanitizing production machinery, tools, and workspaces. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will ensure that we continue to produce high-quality ice cream products in a safe, clean environment.
The position will be based in Phoenix, AZ.
Schedule is 9pm - 5:30 am (3rd shift)
Main responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, and tools according to standard operating procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness in production areas, including floors, walls, and surfaces.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble production equipment as necessary for thorough sanitation.
- Handle and use cleaning chemicals safely, following proper procedures and guidelines.
- Perform regular inspections of cleaned areas and equipment to ensure sanitation standards are met.
- Assist in maintaining an organized, safe, and clean work environment.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to coordinate sanitation activities with minimal disruption to production.
- Monitor and report any sanitation-related issues or equipment malfunctions.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a food production or manufacturing environment preferred.
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to follow recipes, measurements, and instructions accurately.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced production environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
