CNC Machinist Full time- Hourly rate: $26-$28
Our client is an industrial OEM with multiple manufacturing facilities and sales teams across the United
States. We are an international leader in design, engineering, manufacturing, installation, and service of
material handling systems and packaging equipment for the food and beverage industries.
About the Role
Our client is seeking a CNC Machinist to join our team at our Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota facility.
This position is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machining equipment to manufacture
high-quality precision components used in our custom automation and conveyor systems.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced
manufacturing environment. This position will work closely with engineering, fabrication, and production
teams and report directly to the General Manager.
Responsibilities
● Set up and operate HAAS CNC mills and lathes to produce precision machined components.
● Load programs, select tooling, and make machine offsets as required.
● Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
● Verify dimensions and tolerances using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
● Inspect finished parts to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
● Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition.
● Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes.
● Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
● Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe while following company safety policies and
procedures.
Qualifications
Required
● High School Diploma or GED.
● Minimum 1 year of CNC machining experience.
● Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
● Knowledge of machining practices, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
● Experience using precision measuring equipment.
● Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
● Basic computer skills.
● Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Preferred
● Experience with HAAS CNC equipment.
● Familiarity with HAAS Visual Probing.
● Experience with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam or SolidWorks.
● Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
● Technical school, machining certificate, or associate degree in manufacturing technology.
