About the Opportunity:
• Job Title: CNC Mill Operator
• Pay Rate Range: $24.00-$26.00/hr
• Location: Saint Paul, MN
• Schedule: 1st Shift Monday–Friday 6:30AM-3PM
• Position Type: Temp to Hire
Requirements and Qualifications:
• High School or Equivalent.
• CNC Experience: Hands-on experience operating Haas CNC Mills (Haas VF-2SS experience is a strong plus).
• Blueprint Reading & GD&T: Proven ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T standards and dimensions.
• Measurement Proficiency: Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, tape measures, and rulers.
• Team Player: Ability to take direction well, learn internal processes, and work harmoniously within a close-knit shop setting.
• Reliability: Strong work ethic with a proven track record of punctuality and dependable attendance.
• Physical & Manual Dexterity: Comfortable doing light hand-finishing work (deburring, sanding) when required.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Machine Operation: Safely operate a Haas VF-2SS CNC Mill for daily production runs.
• Job Setups: Assist with or perform machine setups as needed, following specific job instructions.
• Hand Finishing: Complete secondary operations as needed (deburring, sanding, and occasional hand rework).
• Team Collaboration: Follow directions from our Lead Machinist, Production Manager, and Engineering team. Respect the guidance and established methods of our lead machinist, who holds final authority on machining methods.
Quality & Inspection:
• Inspect parts direct from the machine to ensure they fall strictly within allowable tolerances.
• Accurately read blueprints and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles.
• Precise use of precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and rulers.
