About the Role

D&D Manufacturing is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Machinist to join our precision machining team in Ipswich, Massachusetts. This is a hands-on CNC machining role focused on setup and operation of CNC mills and lathes in a high-mix, job shop environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate CNC milling and turning machines using Haas, Mazak, and Fanuc controls
  • Select and install proper tooling, fixtures, and workholding for each job
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, hand sketches, and verbal instructions
  • Machine precision components from steel, stainless steel, tool steels, aluminum, plastics, and exotic alloys
  • Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gages, and CMMs
  • Maintain quality, efficiency, and repeatability in a fast-paced job shop environment
