CNC Mill Machinist (Haas Experience Required)

Location: Longwood, FL

Pay: $23.00/hr.+ (DOE)

Schedule: 6:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.Monday - Thursday

Experience Level: Experienced (3–5 Years)

Industry: Manufacturing / Aerospace


We are seeking an experienced CNC Mill Machinist with Haas machine experience to join our growing machine shop. This role is ideal for a self-sufficient machinist who takes pride in precision, quality, and continuous improvement.


Minimum Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of CNC Mill experience (required)
  • Haas CNC experience (required)
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Proficient with precision measuring instruments
  • Knowledge of G-code and M-code
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC mills with minimal supervision
  • Strong math skills related to machining
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC milling machines (Haas required)
  • Load and unload raw materials safely and efficiently
  • Perform geometry and tool wear offsets
  • Make basic program edits at the machine as needed
  • Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring tools
  • Ensure parts meet tight tolerances and blueprint specifications
  • Reduce setup and cycle times through process improvements
  • Perform daily and preventative maintenance on CNC equipment
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe machine shop environment
  • Track and record job progress and deficiencies (written and electronic)
  • Follow AS9100 quality standards and all safety procedures
  • Provide feedback for continuous improvement initiatives
  • Train and support newer machinists and team members
  • Comply with all company quality policies and procedures
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as needed
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
Preferred / Desired Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational training
  • Related military machining experience
  • Willingness to work varied shifts to support production surges
