Job Summary:
ShiftCode Analytics, Inc. is seeking an HPC Systems Engineer to work with Dell's HPC solutions. The role involves collaborating with engineers and product managers to ensure optimal performance and cost-effectiveness of HPC systems, as well as benchmarking and documenting system performance.
Responsibilities:
• Work with other Dell HPC engineers, architects, developers, product managers, and sales staff to ensure that Dell HPC solutions are best-in-class, matched to customer needs, cost-effective, supportable, and have potential for significant impact and revenue
• Benchmark HPC systems designs on new processor architectures, compute and high-performance scaling infrastructures and various subsystem components to characterize the network and systems performance
• Develop performance projection models to help predict application performance on future technologies
• Maintain relationships with partners' engineering teams and track their technology roadmap to remain aware of new developments
• Document results in technical reports, white papers, and external blogs. Publish technical conference papers and file patents where applicable
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience with HPC Systems environments and Infrastructures technologies and workloads
• B.S. in CS/CE/EE, or at least 6 years of HPC Systems and Infrastructure technologies experience
• Advanced working experience with Linux including OS internals, and machine architectures for performance profiling and optimizations
• Experience with MPI applications
• Experience with application performance benchmarking
• Experience with RoCE technologies or other high performance interconnects
• Experience developing technical collateral including documentation and presentations of solution architectural designs, whitepapers, technical documents
• Experience with vendor management, technology partners and collaborations across organizations and business units
• Experience working with low-latency, high speed network architectures and protocols
