Position Overview

Elysium Psychiatric Consultation and Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our team in Laredo, Texas. This full-time, remote position offers clinicians the flexibility to provide both in-person and telehealth mental health services to a diverse clientele. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of clients by establishing rapport and building positive therapeutic relationships while upholding professional ethics and maintaining appropriate boundaries.
  • Conduct regular sessions with clients to monitor treatment progress, discuss stability, and identify upcoming appointments or potential discharge when clinically appropriate.
  • Develop, implement, and continually refine person-centered treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Maintain current and detailed documentation of client interactions and progress notes in accordance with clinical standards.
  • Perform thorough intake assessments to gather necessary information and formulate effective treatment strategies.
  • Facilitate individual counseling sessions on a weekly basis, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Engage in regular individual supervision to enhance clinical skills and ensure adherence to treatment protocols.
  • Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
  • Embrace a growth mindset, continually seeking ways to improve our practices and enhance service delivery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a youth-focused clinician, you will primarily work with children, adolescents, and their families, addressing a variety of mental health challenges ranging from emotional disorders to behavioral issues. Your role will involve utilizing evidence-based practices to create a safe and supportive environment conducive to personal growth and recovery. You will be instrumental in fostering resilience and encouraging positive outcomes for our clients.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Masterโ€™s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
  • Ability to fulfill internal credentialing requirements specific to our clinical settings.
  • Minimum of one year experience working with psychiatric patients and/or individuals with substance use disorders.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting assessments, diagnosing mental health conditions, and facilitating both individual and group therapy.
  • Proficient in using computer systems for patient documentation and scheduling, exhibiting strong keyboarding skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in a therapeutic setting that integrates evidence-based interventions.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and the capability to adapt traditional counseling practices to virtual environments.
  • Previous involvement in multidisciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative approach in client care.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 65,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to financial compensation, our benefits package includes:
