Job Summary:
H&R Block is a leading company in the tax industry, committed to providing help and inspiring confidence in clients and communities. They are seeking a Seasonal Operations Technical Specialist to support the operational readiness of their seasonal tax office network, ensuring offices are functional and aligned with brand standards through hands-on operational and technical support.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Support the setup, opening, closure, and relocation of seasonal tax offices according to schedules and standards
โ€ข Execute office setup activities, including planogram implementation, installation of window clings, lightboxes, and open signs, and confirmation of brand compliance
โ€ข Perform custodial tasks to ensure offices are clean, organized, and ready for operation
โ€ข Perform routine building maintenance such as replacing light bulbs and ceiling tiles, cleaning HVAC vents, repairing minor physical damage, resolving minor plumbing issues, and conducting minor low-voltage electrical work
โ€ข Identify maintenance or facility issues requiring certified technicians and notify the District Operations Coordinator
โ€ข Install, remove, and support PC hardware across multiple office locations with guidance from DOCs and TIAs
โ€ข Troubleshoot basic hardware issues and document incidents and resolutions within the case management system
โ€ข Deliver supplies and materials to and from office locations in a timely and organized manner
โ€ข Maintain accurate inventory of district resources, supplies, and computer equipment
โ€ข Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of supported products and systems
โ€ข Partner with district leadership and technology teams to support office readiness goals
โ€ข Participate in required training and complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Ability to follow direction while exercising sound judgment in a field-based environment
โ€ข Ability to lift and move office equipment weighing up to 55 pounds or more, with or without reasonable accommodation
โ€ข Basic technical knowledge, including experience setting up, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware and office technology
โ€ข Comfort working independently in a fast-paced, field-based, seasonal role with a flexible schedule based on business needs
โ€ข Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills; ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
โ€ข Must have reliable transportation to travel between office locations as required
โ€ข Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
โ€ข Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to interact with associates at all levels and resolve issues via chat, email, and in person
โ€ข Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and other Microsoft Office applications
