Overview:

We are seeking an energetic and passionate Gym Coach to join our preschool team. The Gym Coach will play a vital role in developing and executing age-appropriate physical education programs aimed at enhancing gross motor skills, coordination, and overall fitness in preschool-aged children. We are looking for a candidate with a genuine love for working with young children, a background in physical education or a related field, and the creativity to design engaging activities that foster a love for movement and exercise.


Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a comprehensive physical education curriculum tailored to the needs of preschool-aged children.
2. Plan and lead structured gym classes incorporating various activities, such as games, exercises, and obstacle courses, to stimulate gross motor skills development.
3. Foster a safe and encouraging environment that encourages children to explore different movements and activities.
4. Customize activities to meet the diverse needs and abilities of individual children, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all.
5. Enhance the learning experience by incorporating music, props, and sensory elements to captivate children's interest and engagement.
6. Instill values of teamwork, cooperation, and sportsmanship through interactive group activities and games.
7. Monitor and evaluate children's progress in gross motor skills development, providing constructive feedback and support as necessary.
8. Maintain open communication with parents and caregivers, sharing updates on children's participation and progress in gym class.
9. Collaborate with other preschool staff to integrate physical education activities seamlessly into the overall curriculum and daily routines.
10. Ensure the gym space is clean, organized, and equipment is well-maintained and safely stored.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in physical education, early childhood education, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience working with young children, particularly in a preschool or daycare environment.
• Solid understanding of child development principles and proficiency in designing ageappropriate physical activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young children effectively.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to the dynamic nature of a preschool environment.


This is a part-time/full-time position, with hours typically scheduled during preschool operating hours. Compensation will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
