Financial Equity Coordinator
Location:Cornwall-on-Hudson, NY
Reports to:Executive Director
Position type:Full-time (hybrid, with travel across New York State). The position may be located across
New York State, at one of RMM's four centers: Hudson Valley, Catskills, Finger Lakes or Eastern Long
Island (keeping in mind that the position requires monthly travel to all four centers).

(RMM) is a 40-year-old, nonsectarian organization dedicated to creating a
just and equitable rural New York State. Our Mission Statement:We create hope, justice, and
empowerment with farmworking and rural families in New York by building community and
developing leaders through advocacy, education and the arts.
Our mission is carried out through our three primary program areas: Accompaniment, Popular
Education and Youth Empowerment, operating across four Worker Education Centers in New York State.
Job Summary:
The Financial Equity Coordinator, working in collaboration with Rural & Migrant Ministry, Inc. (RMM)
and our sister credit union, The New York Episcopal Federal Credit Union (NYEFCU), will oversee the
implementation of RMM's fiscal equity program in rural New York, which includes: financial literacy
educational programs, support for RMM's cooperatives and the implementation of the New York
Episcopal Federal Credit Union in rural New York

In order to carry out these functions, the Financial
Equity Coordinator will travel across rural New York, working through RMM's four Worker Education
Centers as well as to New York City to work with NYEFCU.
Key Responsibilities:
NYEFCU
Introduce the Credit Union to the members of RMM in our four Worker Education Centers and
beyond.
Support RMM members' enrollment in the Credit Union and help service their banking needs.
Provide educational programs and services to Credit Union members.
Help members develop strategies to build up their credit.
Rural Academy of the People
Oversee the development and implementation of a financial equity curriculum that enables
grassroots, rural people build their financial literacy, develop strategies for avoiding exploitation
and better understand the opportunities of the Credit Union.
Collaborate with other RMM staff members to develop and implement a curriculum for
grassroots members to strengthen existing cooperatives as well as develop and run new
cooperatives.
Requirements:
Committed to social justice and transformation.
Experience in working with grassroots people.
Experience in working with community development finance institutions.
A people person ... to the nth degree!
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Well-organized and committed to systems and details. Comfortable with computers and
database systems.
Experience in public speaking and storytelling, and the ability to convey RMM's mission and
vision.
The commitment to be in relationship with grassroots people and the ability to enable their
voices to be heard.
A willingness to travel across New York State.
Availability to meet with people in the evenings and on weekends.
Strong written skills.
Proven, successful leadership in program management with measurable outcomes.
Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and experience in working collaboratively with
colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
This is a full -time position with flexible hours and days

Total compensation includes:
Salary: $70,000.
FullFamily medical and dental insurance.
Four weeks' vacation.
Contributions to a retirement plan.
Sabbatical (three months paid leave after seven years).
