Experienced Traveling Roofer – Historic Federal Projects

$25–$38/Hour + Per Diem + Company-Paid Travel

Jaxon Construction, Inc. is hiring experienced traveling roofers and specialty metal craftsmen for multiple historic federal construction projects throughout the United States.

We have several projects involving different roofing systems and are looking for dependable, experienced roofers who know their trade, take pride in their work, and are willing to travel.

Roofing Experience We Need

We are looking for experience in one or more of the following:

• Wood shake and wood shingle roofing
• Clay tile roofing
• Standing-seam and historic metal roofing
• EPDM roofing
• TPO roofing
• Asphalt shingles
• Slate roofing
• Historic roof restoration
• Flashing and waterproofing
• Custom sheet-metal fabrication

You do not need experience in every system. We are interested in skilled roofers who are strong in one or more specialty areas.

Copper & Custom Metal Experience – Highly Desired

We are especially interested in experienced copper and architectural sheet-metal workers with skills in:

• Copper Yankee / built-in gutters
• Copper flashing and valleys
• Copper roof details
• Soldering copper
• Standing-seam metal
• Metal brake operation
• Custom sheet-metal fabrication
• Historic architectural metal restoration

Higher compensation may be available for highly experienced copper and historic metal craftsmen.

What We're Looking For

Candidates should:

• Have professional roofing experience
• Be able to perform quality work without constant supervision
• Understand proper roofing installation and waterproofing
• Follow plans, specifications, and manufacturer requirements
• Pay close attention to historic details
• Be dependable and show up ready to work
• Work safely at heights
• Work well with a crew
• Be willing to travel nationwide
• Be able to pass background requirements for federal facilities
• Be willing to work on different roofing systems and related exterior construction

Lead Roofer, Foreman, and Crew Leader experience is a plus.

Pay & Benefits

Pay: $25.00–$38.00 per hour based on verified experience and skill level.

Exceptional copper, Yankee gutter, historic metal, and specialty roofing craftsmen may qualify for higher compensation.

Historic Federal Projects

Jaxon Construction has multiple historic government projects involving different roofing systems.

Our work may include historic federal buildings, military facilities, national parks, cemeteries, and other government properties.

We are looking for craftsmen who understand that historic work requires patience, attention to detail, quality workmanship, and respect for the original structure.
