Responsibilities:
  • Greet all customers with a smile when entering and exiting the store
  • Enhance the customer experience by engaging in conversation while providing personalized service and consistently meeting the goals of the digital receipt program
  • Accurately scan every item customers are purchasing, ensuring all merchandise is properly rung through and paid for before the customer leaves the store
  • Treat merchandise with care, and bag purchases carefully and efficiently
  • Promote the Scheels Visa card and clearly explain all benefits
  • End each transaction by saying “thank you” to every customer
  • Process returns and exchanges for firearm purchases
  • Complete firearm background checks
  • Assist with Gun Room housekeeping
  • Ensure all ATF federal laws and guidelines are followed
  • Ability to execute technology-based processes for firearm and/or suppressor transactions
  • All other duties as assigned

Compensation:
Earn $18:00 per hour plus GREAT Associate Discount on all in store purchases.
Schedule:
Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9a.m. and 9p.m., Monday through Saturday, 10a.m. and 6p.m., Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available minimum of every other weekend or 2 weekends a month. Average hours per week is 20 hours.
Education & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), and/or 1-3 months of cashiering experience
Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
