Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in aviation maintenance or related field required or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. 3 years related technical aviation maintenance experience. 2 years people management experience with accountability and ownership of employee relations activities, including writing and delivering performance reviews, making hiring and termination recommendations, making compensation recommendations, driving employee development, etc. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred. Position Purpose: Manages Service Center visits including safety of personnel, quality of work, manpower planning, overall project/schedule management & labor performance. Coordinates customer communications required. over the course of a maintenance visit. Accountable for maintaining the engagement of the team by establishing environment of collaboration, creating a culture of development where employees are supported in seeking growth opportunities, & guiding team to high quality performance.
Job Description
Principle Duties and Responsibilities: Essential Functions:
  1. Ensures accurate, meaningful communication flow between leadership and team to ensure alignment .
  2. Delivers timely Progressive Counseling when necessary to maintain safety, compliance, & appropriate behavior amongst team .
  3. Conducts regular contribution & development discussions (end-of-year discussions, 1:1s) & supports development investment for all team members .
  4. Establishes & cascades departmental goals aligned with organizational goals. Communicates performance expectations. Supports entire team to meet department goals .
  5. Manages projects, assigns work through Svc Team Supervisors. Sets strategic vision for all projects. Pre-plans, develops & maintains schedule through aircraft delivery/follow-up .
  6. Upon aircraft arrival, ensures work authorization is complete with signature and conducts a thorough debrief with customer representatives .
  7. Supervises a continuous safety/security program, which includes operation of support equipment, aircraft systems, 6S, general housekeeping & lean manufacturing principles. Ensures that regular established safety/security audits are conducted & discrepancies are addressed .
  8. Facilitates status meetings with all departments/shops. Ensures coordination of parts, resources, materials, & tooling. Holds internal customers accountable to meet aircraft schedule .
  9. Ensures that work is performed in accordance with the Repair Station Manual, Corporate policies, Site Operating Procedures, FARs, & all other regulatory mandates .
  10. Communicates estimates, updates & project plans with the customer and ensures all their concerns are addressed. Acts on feedback received from customer & employee roundtables, customer surveys, & inputs .
  11. Protects the brand by ensuring high touch customer experience within the operation. As the primary customer interface, is engaging, authentic & promotes the Gulfstream brand effectively .
  12. Monitors/controls costs, expenses, & other resources to ensure financial performance (meeting or exceeding Service Center financial objectives on all projects). Must be able to meet department goals, influence, & lead individuals in other departments with no direct authority to do so .
Additional Functions:
  1. Responsible for hiring and onboarding as required. .
  2. Institutionalize Lean & continuous improvement .

  1. Must have demonstrated leadership ability, strong communication skills & the ability to successfully manage P&L.
