Job description

Senior Delivery Driver

The Senior Delivery Driver supports delivery operations by ensuring route readiness, maintaining team communication, monitoring compliance requirements, and reinforcing company standards for safety, service, and merchandising execution.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain a cohesive and informed team.
  • Ensure all communications for voided invoices or cut items everyday per SOP
  • Complete all sequencing for assigned routes in a timely manner daily.
  • Ensure all Short Pays, Missing DSD's and Missing Product are communicated to assigned drivers and collected in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all communications of Teams Morning, Mid-day and Afternoon updates are communicated on Senior Group Text.
  • Communicate with assigned routes, clearly and effectively all directions and plans given by Assistant and Delivery Management.
  • Ensure all assigned routes work areas and equipment are maintained and cleaned daily, weekly and monthly.
  • Facilitate compliance with all assigned routes, their DOT certifications and all other safety compliances established by Safety Plus and/or Gulf.
  • Contribute and guarantee all Teams Rotation, Stocking, Display and back stock areas are worked according to Gulf's standards.
  • Maintain and respond to all emails and reports assigned to Senior Driver.
  • Ensure all Training practices are being followed, and all assigned employees training requirements are up to date.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous Leadership/ Management experience preferred
  • Class A CDL required

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Frequently (50%+ of time) required to walk and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to stand; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel object, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently (50%+ of time) lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently (50%+ of time) Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and depth perception.
  • Occasionally (less than 25% of time) exposed to moving mechanical equipment and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
  • Frequently (more than 50% of time) travel throughout the GDH markets.
  • Occasional (less than 25% of time) weekend and/or overtime work.

Additional Details

  • Salary Range: $60-70K
  • Reports directly to Delivery Manager
  • This position requires rotating shifts, early mornings, late evenings and occasional weekend work.
