Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Guitar Maker to join our team at Mule Resophonic Guitars. (Muleresophonic.com). I know you're not a guitar maker but if you have either CNC programming experience in Rhino or welding experience and want to make things with soul I can teach you the guitar making part. That being said:
This is a production environment, not an arts and crafts class. These are the finest resonator guitars in the world and quality must be high and deadlines must be met. People wait a year for their guitar to be completed. Passion for guitars and music or an interest in learning guitar making unfortunately is not enough to be successful here. I'm looking with some with experience in programming CNC machines willing to learn Rhino to be a valuable position in a small shop. You would also be involved in multiple aspects of the construction process.
This job is not for everybody. In fact it's for almost nobody. It's more tedious than you think. Time expectations are measured in minutes. You have to be able to manage and schedule jobs in a changing environment. You have to have a tolerance for ambiguity in problem solving combined with precise expectations. Although music and guitars are wonderful things appreciation of them is not enough of a contribution to be successful here.
