Job description

Job Title- Guidewire Architect
About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Guidewire Architect to lead end-to-end solution design and delivery across Guidewire platforms, with a strong emphasis on Insurance Suite Implementations, Cloud Migrations, Advanced Product Designer, and Integration architecture.
The ideal candidate brings 15-18 years of overall IT experience, with at least 8 years dedicated to Guidewire implementations, and will play a pivotal role in leading end-to-end solution design, delivery, and team enablement.
Key Requirements
  • 15-18+ years of overall IT experience, with a minimum of 10-12+ years of hands-on Guidewire experience
  • Lead end-to-end architecture and design of Guidewire solutions across PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and ClaimCenter
  • Define and govern solution blueprints aligned to Guidewire Cloud standards (GWCP) for green-field and cloud migration projects
  • Drive OOTB-first and configuration-over-customization principles
  • Architect and govern PolicyCenter Product Model design, including: Lines, coverages, modifiers, rating structures and Product lifecycle management
  • Lead Advanced Product Designer (APD) adoption: Product modeling strategy and versioning, Migration from legacy product model to APD, Alignment with business-driven product configuration
  • Architect solutions aligned to Guidewire Cloud standards levering latest guidewire offering such as Integration Gateway, Autopilot, Cloud APIs, Business Rules Service, APD, IDM, etc.
  • Proven expertise in building and designing Guidewire integrations across core P&C systems
  • Hands-on experience with Guidewire CDA solution options and implementations
  • Hands-on experience with Guidewire Data Migration
  • Proficiency with the Jutro Digital Platform
  • Demonstrate basic proficiency in AI/ML concepts and applications, including: Use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot-like tools) , Awareness of AI-driven automation in integration analysis and testing
  • Identify opportunities to: Leverage AI for automation, document processing, and integration modernization, Improve developer productivity and solution quality

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end design and implementation of Guidewire solutions to modernize and enhanc.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Guidewire applications across the technology landscape.
  • Oversee the development and execution of Guidewire workflows to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of Policy, Billing, and Claims processes to identify opportunities for technology-driven improvements.
  • Provide technical leadership and expert guidance on application development within Guidewire platforms.
  • Ability to drive architecture decisions in complex environments
  • Ability to design and run sessions during inception and implementation phases
  • Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Guide QA partners through test E2E, UAT and Perf test planning and execution

Qualifications
  • 15-18+ years of IT experience, with 10-12+ years in Guidewire
  • Proven experience as a Solution/Enterprise Architect in large-scale Guidewire programs
  • Experience in Guidewire implementations (cloud preferred)
  • Strong exposure to digital transformation programs in P&C insurance
  • Guidewire ACE certification in at least 1 track is mandatory
  • Experience in multi-state/multi-LOB product rollout
  • Proven track record of successfully leading Guidewire Cloud implementation projects within P&C insurance domains.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Awareness and practical usage of AI-assisted engineering practices

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $ 150-180K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
