Job description

The dedicated team consists of 4 to 10 people, indicating an active ramp-up phase: the two developers will be joining a growing team in a SAFe environment with PI Planning cadence.

The target profile is a developer who can both code and analyze: the client is looking for individuals capable of understanding business requirements, translating them into configuration or Guidewire development, without relying on an intermediate analyst.

The tech stack is Java and/or GoSu on PolicyCenter. Prior experience in property and casualty insurance (P&C) is implicitly valued given the policy management context. The environment is entirely French speaking, which effectively eliminates profiles that are not functional in French.

REQUIREMENTS
  • bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent | Required | All requirements met
  • Experience developing with PolicyCenter (Guidewire) | Required | All requirements met
  • Java and/or GOSU development | One option is sufficient | Sufficient alternative coverage
  • Intermediate: 5 years of development experience, including 2 years with Java/GOSU | Required | All requirements met
  • Intermediate+: 7 years of development experience, including 3 years with Java/GOSU | Required | All requirements
  • Senior: 7 years of development experience, including 3 years in Java/Gosu and 1 year as lead developer on a Guidewire project | Required experience | All requirements
  • Dual role of developer and analyst (coding and requirements analysis) | Required experience | All requirements

Requirements

DESIRED

  • Experience in property and casualty insurance (P&C) | Required experience | All requirements
  • Knowledge of the SAFe/Scrum environment | Required experience | All requirements
ASSET
  • Experience in a context of system expansion or migration to new markets | Required experience | All requirements
  • Knowledge of sales processes and policy management | Required experience | All requirements

WHAT WE DON'T WANT

  • A purely developer profile without the ability to analyze business requirements.
  • Guidewire developer working on modules other than PolicyCenter (BillingCenter, ClaimCenter only).
  • Profile below the contractual experience threshold (less than 5 years for Intermediate, less than 7 years for Intermediate+ and Senior).
  • Candidate not fluent in French: 100% French-speaking environment.
  • Profile starting out with Guidewire without a project deployed to production.
