Job description

Talent Acquisition HR Generalist

Auric Road LMR Management LLC Big Sky, Montana, United States

About this positionLone Mountain Ranch

For more than 100 years, Lone Mountain Ranch has welcomed guests to beautiful Big Sky, Montana. Set on 148 acres just minutes from Yellowstone National Park, the Ranch is known for authentic Western hospitality, exceptional dining, outdoor adventures, and unforgettable guest experiences.

The beauty of the Ranch may be what guests remember first, but it's the people who create the experiences they remember most. Together, we take pride in caring for this special placeโ€”preserving its history, stewarding its natural surroundings, and creating meaningful experiences for every guest who visits.

Whether you're welcoming guests, preparing memorable meals, caring for our historic property, or supporting operations behind the scenes, every role contributes to creating unforgettable experiences while helping shape the next chapter of Lone Mountain Ranch's legacy.

Build Great Teams. Shape the Employee Experience.

Great workplaces don't happen by accidentโ€”they're built by people who care about the employee experience. At Lone Mountain Ranch, our HR team plays a central role in attracting exceptional talent, supporting our employees, and helping create a culture where people feel welcomed, valued, and equipped to succeed. If you're passionate about recruiting, enjoy building relationships, and believe the best HR professionals balance people, process, and operational support, this may be the opportunity you've been looking for.

About the Role

The Talent Acquisition HR Generalist plays a vital role in helping Lone Mountain Ranch attract exceptional people while creating an outstanding employee experience from recruitment through employment. In our highly seasonal hospitality environment, recruiting and onboarding are at the heart of what we doโ€”but this role goes far beyond filling positions.

This position combines talent acquisition, employee experience, HR operations, and operational support to help ensure employees feel welcomed, supported, and equipped for success throughout their time at the Ranch. From developing creative recruiting strategies and onboarding new employees to coordinating employee uniforms, leading recognition programs, improving HR processes, and supporting managers, this role helps shape the employee experience every day.

We're looking for someone who enjoys balancing people, process, and operations. Someone who sees what needs to be done, takes ownership, embraces technology, and enjoys finding better ways to support both employees and the organization. In a collaborative hospitality environment, everyone contributes to the success of the Ranch, and this role is no exception.

What You'll Do
  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for seasonal and year-round positions across multiple departments.
  • Build relationships with colleges, hospitality programs, workforce agencies, and recruiting partners while identifying new ways to attract exceptional candidates.
  • Create engaging recruitment and employer branding content for LinkedIn and other employment platforms.
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and new hire logistics to create a welcoming and organized employee experience.
  • Manage the employee uniform program, including ordering, organization, distribution, tracking, and collection.
  • Lead employee recognition initiatives and support employee engagement programs throughout the year.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and support HR operations using Rippling and other HR technology.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR systems, workflows, and administrative processes.
  • Partner with managers across the Ranch to support hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and overall employee success.
  • Support HR communications, special projects, and other initiatives that strengthen the employee experience.
  • Jump in wherever needed to support the operation and help create an exceptional workplace for our employees.
Who Thrives Here

This role is a great fit for someone who:

  • Is passionate about recruiting and enjoys connecting exceptional people with meaningful opportunities.
  • Thrives in the pace and variety of a highly seasonal hospitality environment.
  • Loves balancing people-focused work with administrative excellence.
  • Is exceptionally organized and enjoys creating systems that improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Embraces technology, enjoys learning new systems, and is always looking for better ways to work.
  • Is naturally solutions-oriented and looks for ways to move things forward rather than reasons they can't be done.
  • Takes ownership, follows through on commitments, and proactively identifies opportunities to improve.
  • Enjoys collaborating across departments and isn't afraid to step outside of traditional HR responsibilities when it helps support the operation.
  • Builds trust through professionalism, empathy, sound judgment, and integrity.
  • Believes exceptional employee experiences lead to exceptional guest experiences.
What You'll Bring
  • Three or more years of Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, or related experience.
  • Hospitality, resort, seasonal operations, or other service-focused industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience leading full-cycle recruiting and coordinating onboarding.
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and employee relations.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong technology skills with experience using HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems; Rippling experience is a plus.
  • Experience sourcing candidates through LinkedIn and other recruiting platforms.
  • Experience researching recruiting strategies, sourcing channels, and employer branding initiatives.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Why Lone Mountain Ranch

At Lone Mountain Ranch, Human Resources is about more than policies and paperwork. Our team helps create an environment where employees feel welcomed, supported, and equipped to succeed. We believe the best HR professionals are approachable, organized, solutions-focused, and genuinely invested in helping people thrive.

If you're looking for an opportunity to build exceptional teams, strengthen the employee experience, improve processes, embrace new technology, and make a meaningful impact in a collaborative hospitality environment, we'd love to hear from you.
