Night Auditor Position at Lone Mountain Ranch

Lone Mountain Ranch is a historic guest ranch situated on 148 acres in the heart of the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem. First homesteaded in 1915, the Ranch has grown into one of the premier guest ranch destinations in the American West, offering a unique blend of authentic hospitality, rich history, thoughtful luxury, and year-round outdoor adventure.

The property features 25 hand-hewn cabins, the renowned Horn & Cantle Restaurant and Saloon, the Ranch Hall, the Outpost, equestrian facilities, Nordic ski trails, event spaces, and expansive access to the surrounding Montana landscape. Lone Mountain Ranch is proud to be recognized as a National Geographic Unique Lodge of the World, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and a longtime member of the Dude Ranchers' Association.

While most guests are sleeping, the Ranch is still very much alive. As the Night Auditor, you'll be the trusted overnight presence who helps ensure guests are cared for, the property remains safe, and each new day begins smoothly. From balancing the day's financial activity to assisting late-night guests, preparing morning coffee service, conducting property checks, and supporting overnight transportation needs, you'll play an important role in delivering the exceptional hospitality Lone Mountain Ranch is known for.

What You'll Do
  • Welcome and assist guests who need support during overnight hours.
  • Complete the nightly audit by reconciling daily transactions and preparing financial reports.
  • Conduct routine property checks to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment.
  • Support overnight guest transportation and early morning departures as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver morning coffee service to guest cabins.
  • Respond calmly and professionally to guest requests, emergencies, and unexpected situations.
  • Communicate important guest, maintenance, and operational updates to the daytime team.
  • Perform light cleaning and organization of public spaces to prepare for the next day's operations.
  • Work closely with Front Desk, Transportation, Housekeeping, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

  • Wildlife awareness and the ability to work safely in bear country.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Night Audit or Front Desk experience.
  • Experience in hospitality, hotels, resorts, or guest services.
  • Experience handling cash, balancing transactions, or preparing financial reports.
  • Familiarity with property management systems.
