About Sorrel River Ranch

Sorrel River Ranch is a Four-Diamond luxury guest ranch along the Colorado River, surrounded by 240 acres of stunning red-rock country. Just 17 miles from Moab and close to Arches and Canyonlands, Sorrel is where adventure, great food, genuine hospitality, and meaningful connection come together.

Our team is at the heart of the experience. We’re looking for people who take pride in what they do, enjoy working with others, and want to be part of something special in one of the most beautiful places in the West.

Come work somewhere beautiful, be part of a great team, and make every day an adventure.

The Role

As a Dishwasher/Steward, you’ll be an essential part of the culinary team, helping keep the kitchen clean, organized, and ready to deliver an exceptional dining experience. While you may work behind the scenes, your role is a big part of keeping the entire kitchen moving.

You’ll work alongside chefs and kitchen team members, keep equipment and workspaces sparkling, and make sure the team always has what they need to do their best work.

If you’re dependable, hardworking, and take pride in keeping things running smoothly, we’d love to have you on the team.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Collect used dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment from dining and kitchen areas.
  • Load and unload commercial dishwashing machines.
  • Hand-wash specialty items such as wooden cutting boards and large pots.
  • Keep dishes, glassware, utensils, and equipment clean, sanitized, and properly stored.
  • Make sure the kitchen team always has the clean supplies they need, especially during busy service.
  • Sweep, mop, and maintain clean kitchen floors and work areas.
  • Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, baseboards, and other kitchen surfaces.
  • Monitor dishwashing equipment and report any issues or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Keep cleaning supplies stocked and communicate supply needs to the culinary leadership team.
  • Remove garbage and regularly clean and sanitize waste bins.
  • Complete thorough nightly kitchen cleaning and sanitation.
  • Jump in to support the culinary team wherever needed.
  • Perform other duties that help keep the kitchen safe, clean, and running smoothly.
What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, team-oriented, and ready to roll up their sleeves.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A positive, team-first attitude.
  • Reliability and a willingness to help wherever needed.
  • The ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • The ability to push and pull carts and kitchen equipment.
  • A commitment to cleanliness, safety, and attention to detail.
Come Be Part of the Adventure

Every great meal starts with a great kitchen—and every great kitchen needs a team that keeps it clean, organized, and moving.

Come work behind the scenes with a passionate culinary team, take pride in what you do, and help make the Sorrel dining experience possible.

Applicants must already have legal authorization to work in the United States. Only applicants selected for an interview will be contacted.

Sorrel River Ranch Resort & Spa is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
