POSITION PURPOSE:
The Director of Admissions Recruitment is responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day performance of the admissions recruitment team, ensuring the successful execution of outreach, engagement, and conversion strategies. This role serves as the operational leader of the college's recruitment team, driving application generation, applicant engagement, and enrollment conversion through disciplined execution, coaching, and performance management.
SALARY RANGE: $95,000 - $100,000/Annually
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Recruitment Team Leadership
  • Directly manage Admissions Counselors and recruitment staff.
  • Set clear expectations for daily, weekly, and seasonal recruitment activity.
  • Monitor performance against KPIs, including calls, appointments, applications, yield, and enrollment goals.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, team meetings, and performance reviews.
  • Coach staff on communication strategies, objection handling, and relationship-building.

Execution of Recruitment Strategy
  • Implement recruitment strategies established by senior leadership.
  • Ensure consistent, high-frequency outreach across multiple channels (phone, text, email, virtual).
  • Oversee territory management and ensure effective coverage and engagement.
  • Drive execution of events such as Open Houses, Accepted Students Day, and virtual programs.

Funnel Management & Conversion
  • Monitor daily and weekly funnel activity to ensure movement from inquiry to enrollment.
  • Identify gaps in conversion and deploy targeted interventions.
  • Ensure timely follow-up with prospective students and applicants.
  • Partner with Admissions Operations to ensure seamless handoffs and communication flows.

Collaboration & Communication
  • Work closely with Marketing to align outreach campaigns and messaging.
  • Partner with Financial Aid and Student Success teams to address student barriers to enrollment.
  • Ensure a consistent, high-quality experience for prospective students and families.

Training & Development
  • Train new counselors on recruitment processes, systems, and expectations.
  • Reinforce best practices in CRM usage (Slate), communication, and time management.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, urgency, and student-centered service.

Data & Reporting
  • Track and report on recruitment activity and outcomes.
  • Use CRM data and reports to inform daily priorities and coaching.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all student interactions in Slate.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
  • Achievement of weekly, monthly, and annual inquiry, application, and enrollment goals for assigned populations.
  • Maintenance of a healthy admissions funnel, with measurable improvement in inquiry-to-application and application-to-enrollment conversion rates.
  • Admissions Counselors consistently meet or exceed established activity and performance metrics; underperformance is addressed through active coaching and management.
  • A motivated, well-trained, and high-performing recruitment team is maintained through ongoing coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Structured, stage-based outreach and communication strategies are consistently executed across the admissions funnel, with timely, personalized follow-up.
  • Travel, virtual outreach, and recruitment events are effectively executed, aligned with data-informed priorities, and produce measurable results.
  • Recruitment activity and funnel data are accurately tracked, reported in a timely manner, and actively used to inform strategy and decision-making.
  • CRM (Slate) usage, communication workflows, and recruitment processes are executed efficiently, accurately, and in alignment with institutional standards.
  • Strong, professional communication and coordination are maintained with internal stakeholders, with clear upward reporting on progress and challenges.
  • Prospective students receive timely, accurate, and supportive communication, ensuring a high-quality, student-centered admissions experience.

REQUIREMENTS: The person selected will have the following qualifications:
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor's degree required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, or a sales-related environment
  • Experience managing or mentoring staff preferred
  • Experience working with CRM systems (Slate strongly preferred)
