POSITION OVERVIEW:

As a Sales Technician, you will be responsible for continuously providing high-quality results and representing the Guardian brand. Additionally, you will interact and engage with our customers providing exceptional service, care and concern for their project while adhering to Guardian policy. The Sales Technician will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of customers’ homes and presenting the findings and solutions while adhering to the Guardian Sales System. Our most successful Sales Technicians are motivated, results-oriented, critical thinkers who enjoy building relationships and helping clients.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sell the clients of the Company complete roofing systems as well as roofing repairs and maintenance, utilizing the residential sales, measuring and pricing system.
  • Always explain to the client what their roofing system needs are and the reason for the recommendations to provide potential clients the best option for their needs.
  • At all times, be safety-conscious on both the job site and driving in accordance with Company policy.
  • Always take care of potential clients’ time and property, which includes wearing shoe covers while in the clients’ homes.
  • Explain and sell the Club Membership program to all potential clients.
  • After successful completion of the 60-day training period, which is subject to review, you will be required to maintain 10 new leads per week. (leads are generated for you) Additional customer appointments may be needed, termed as follow-up appointments, that are not subject to this “10 lead” total.
  • Maintain a closing ratio of 40% or greater for Roof Replacements and 50% on Repair and Maintenance cost centers. This rounds to $100,000 per month in total sales.
  • Complete the necessary paperwork to process sold jobs in a timely manner, adhering to the 24-hour turnaround time from point of sale to delivered to the office for processing.
  • As with all employees, you are required to obey all team rules as outlined in the Company Handbook.
  • Maintain the company vehicle in accordance to the cleanliness standards outlined in the Company Handbook and internal paperwork. Additionally, the company vehicle is one of the best billboards at the Company’s disposal. With that in mind, park the truck for the maximum impact of the “billboard” whenever possible.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent/Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a drug test, physical, and criminal background check (employment is contingent on passing these parameters)
  • Coordinate daily work with multiple crews.
  • Manage job costs and installation quality.
  • 2-5 years outside sales experience
  • Excellent communication skills. Able to build strong trust level with clients and provide a great experience before, during and after the project.
  • Excellent time management & organization skills.
  • Business and financial knowledge.
  • Strong ability to help others succeed.
  • Ability to climb a ladder
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to be on roofs up to 40 ft tall
  • Ability to maneuver tight crawl spaces and attics- less than one hour per day

  • Portland Metro area, location varies daily depending on appointment sites.
  • Guardian's Facility is located in Wilsonville, OR
  • Able to Start Late September. Training will be held in Auburn,WA.
