America's Auto Auction Toledo is looking experienced Security Officers to join out growing team! 


The Security Guard secures the lot at all times. The responsibility of the Security Guard is to maintain the security of the premises as well as to log all new vehicles and inspect to ensure the proper vehicles are being transported out. The Security Guard exhibits superior customer service at all times.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  1. Provide efficient and courteous service to all customers at all times. 
  2. Always exhibit 'hands on' and direct approach with customers.
  3. Receive and logs all incoming vehicles.
  4. Record the proper dealer name on all incoming vehicles.
  5. Checks and verifies stock number, VIN number, color and model of all vehicles prior to release.
  6. Ensure appropriate signature and approval on all release documents.
  7. Ensure all hoods and trunks are properly latched when vehicles exit.
  8. Patrols the entire premises on a daily basis looking for anything out of the ordinary.
  9. Inspection of gate and fence for damages.   
  10. Ensure the security fence is operational and set when facility is closed.
  11. Ensure the facility is locked with the alarm set when departing premises.
  12. Inspection of vehicles to assure they have not been tampered with.
  13. Assist with auction day activities as needed.
  14. Assist with the entrance to insure only dealers are in attendance on sale days.
  15. Maintain a clean and orderly guard shack at all times.
  16. Ensure the immediate reporting of any vehicle not returned after test drive.
  17. Work well independently as well as a team player
  18. Timely communication of issues that may be deemed as detrimental to the success of operations to Management.
  19. Performs other duties as necessary

Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent 
  • Experience: Previous security experience preferred
  • Skills: Should be highly organized, self motivated and self disciplined. Highly customer service orientated. Computer proficient. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Requirements: 
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must possess a valid driver's license 
  • Environment: The environment of the Security Guard involves working at the Auction during operational hours as well as alone after hours. Those working in this position are subject to temperature changes, all types of weather conditions, elevated noise levels and at times fumes and odors associated with vehicle exhaust at times
