Job description

Your Security. Our Mission. Worldwide.
Global Secure 3
is an international security and risk management firm headquartered in San Francisco, with strategic resources in financial centers around the globe. We work with clients across technology, finance, healthcare, and retail to mitigate risk, protect personnel, and create the conditions for business to move forward without disruption.
Our officers are the face of GS3 at every client site. They set the tone for safety, professionalism, and customer service from the moment they arrive on post. We are expanding our Bay Area operations and are seeking Unarmed Security Guards who reflect this standard.
The Role
The Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for protecting people, property, and assets at assigned Bay Area client sites. Officers maintain a visible presence, monitor activity, control access, respond to incidents, and provide a consistent, professional point of contact for tenants, employees, and visitors.
What stays constant is the standard: alert, accountable, and visibly professional security operations that protect our clients and represent the GS3 brand at every post.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a visible, professional security presence at the assigned client site throughout the shift.
  • Conduct foot patrols of interior and exterior areas, identifying and reporting safety hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying credentials, signing in visitors, and following site specific access procedures.
  • Monitor surveillance equipment, alarms, and communication systems, and respond appropriately to alerts.
  • Respond to incidents calmly and according to post orders, including medical situations, disturbances, and emergencies, and escalate to supervisors and emergency services as needed.
  • Document activity, observations, and incidents accurately in daily activity reports and incident reports.
  • Provide courteous customer service to tenants, employees, vendors, and visitors, representing GS3 and the client at all times.
  • Follow all GS3 policies, client post orders, and applicable California laws and regulations.

Required Qualifications
  • Active California Guard Card (BSIS): Required at time of application. Candidates without a current Guard Card will not be considered.
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to commute to assigned Bay Area sites.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Customer service experience in a professional or corporate environment.
  • CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.

Physical and Schedule Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
  • Ability to climb stairs and respond quickly to incidents across the site.
  • Availability for varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
  • Professional appearance and adherence to GS3 uniform and grooming standards.

Benefits
What We Offer
  • Starting at $25.00 per hour, based on site and experience.
  • Consistent scheduling at established Bay Area client sites.
  • Paid sick leave in accordance with California law.
  • Opportunities for advancement into lead, supervisor, and specialty roles.
  • Training and professional development supported by an experienced operations team.
  • A workplace culture grounded in professionalism, accountability, and respect.
