Dental Assistant

Location: Grove Dental - Downers Grove, IL

Job Type: Part-Time

Pay: $20.00-$27.00/hour based on experience  

Sign-On Bonus: $1,000

Your Work Schedule

Tuesday: 7:30am-6:00pm

Wednesday: 7:30am-6:00pm

Friday: 7:30am-6:00pm

Your Role as a Dental AssistantAs a Dental Assistant, you'll collaborate with our practice team to provide outstanding clinical support, ensuring patients receive the care they need. You'll prepare patients for treatment, assist the dentist in restorative procedures, and maintain a high standard of care and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional chair-side clinical support to dentists and hygienists, including charting, operatory setup/cleanup, and patient education.
  • Record and review patient health histories, make chart entries under the dentist's direction, and ensure all documentation is complete.
  • Set up trays and instruments based on the daily schedule and procedure requirements.
  • Prepare patients, sterilize/disinfect instruments, and maintain asepsis following OSHA standards.
  • Assist with dental procedures, including exposing and developing diagnostic radiographs.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and other certifications and safety requirements.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Dental Assisting Certification or prior on-the-job training.
  • 1-5 years of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Radiography/X-Ray certification (state-specific).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional service and patient education.
