Job description

The Camp Group Program Specialist supports weekend and select holiday camp operations and guest experiences at YMCA Camp Campbell. Assists with event setup and tear-down, buffet-style meal service, parking coordination, and facilitation of program areas including arts and crafts, archery, climbing wall, group games, and team-building activities. Provides flexible, guest-focused customer service for both formal events and casual weekend programs.
SALARY RANGES: $20.00-$25.00
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and adhere to all American Camp Association (ACA) standards.
  • Maintain activity areas by keeping them clean, organized, fully stocked, and ready for use.
  • Work primarily on weekends and select holidays, with flexibility to support a variety of groups and events.
  • Assist with event setup and tear-down, including moving furniture, arranging spaces, and resetting areas after group departure.
  • Support buffet-style meal service by assisting with food service, bussing tables, and maintaining clean, organized, and welcoming dining and event spaces.
  • Provide parking and traffic support for events and weekend groups as needed.
  • Assist groups with activity needs and provide general program support.
  • Identify and report equipment issues, safety concerns, or facility maintenance needs in a timely manner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support camp operations and guest experiences.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Visual and auditory ability to observe and to respond to critical incidents and the physical ability to act swiftly in an emergency situation.
  • Ability to lead and interact in group activities and perform related physical skills.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, or crouch, climb, push, and pull.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 25 pounds.
  • CPR and First Aid Certified within 90 days of hire.
  • YMCA Child Abuse Prevention Trained within 90 days of hire.
