ABOUT THE ROLE
Join the Automation & Controls Engineering (ACE) organization, which develops and deploys advanced manufacturing technology solutions across multiple production facilities. As an ACE Delivery Technical Project Manager (TPM), you will coordinate the deployment of manufacturing systems across multiple plants in Michigan. This role is critical to ensuring that technology implementations are organized, visible, and on schedule, while providing leadership with standardized rollout planning, execution visibility, and consistent reporting. You will partner with engineering leaders, plant stakeholders, and delivery teams to drive stronger coordination, communication, and governance for plant implementations. Occasional travel to manufacturing facilities is required.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Coordinate deployment plans for manufacturing technology across multiple plants, ensuring alignment with overall program milestones
  • Develop and maintain standardized rollout schedules and provide leadership with clear visibility and reporting
  • Monitor implementation readiness, risks, milestones, and execution progress, proactively identifying and managing risks
  • Facilitate recurring meetings with engineering teams and plant leadership to ensure strong communication and governance
  • Track costs, schedules, delivery metrics, and implementation status, establishing standard delivery metrics and reporting across deployments
  • Escalate blockers and coordinate issue resolution across organizations to maintain project momentum
  • Support rollout sequencing and drive continuous process improvement, capturing lessons learned to enhance future manufacturing deployments
  • Travel domestically to manufacturing facilities (typically 1-2 days per trip, generally once per month or less) to support deployment activities
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 5+ years of Technical Project Management experience
  • Experience in manufacturing implementation, industrial automation, or plant operations preferred
  • Experience working within Assembly Plants preferred
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple plants and teams
  • Jira and Agile experience preferred
  • Controls engineering expertise beneficial but not required
  • Ability to develop and execute deployment plans, monitor project readiness, and drive process improvements
  • Willingness to travel domestically to manufacturing facilities as required
