Job description

Pilates Teacher— Wine Country Movement | Napa, CA

Lead. Mentor. Move. Help Others Heal.

About Wine Country Movement

Wine Country Movement is Napa Valley's only Stott-equipped Pilates studio in Southwest Napa — a holistic wellness sanctuary where mindful movement and restorative therapy come together under one roof. Located in the heart of Browns Valley at 3247 Browns Valley Rd, we are a boutique, community-rooted studio serving clients on healing journeys: post-surgical recovery, lymphedema care, chronic pain management, and everyday wellness.

Our team of 6–10 certified practitioners brings warmth, expertise, and genuine care to every session. We are not a big-box gym. We are a neighborhood sanctuary — and we are growing.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced, mission-aligned Pilates Teacher to join our expanding team in a dual-capacity role:

  1. Lead Pilates classes at the studio across all levels and populations — including general wellness, post-surgical, and therapeutic clients.
  2. Mentor and instruct within our in-house Pilates Teacher Training Program — helping shape the next generation of qualified, compassionate instructors.

This is a rare opportunity for a senior instructor who is ready to lead not just classes, but people. If you believe movement is medicine, love nurturing talent in others, and want to do meaningful work in a collaborative, boutique environment, we would love to meet you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Pilates group classes (all levels) with a maximum of 6 clients per class
  • Design and deliver an individualized movement experience aligned with each client's goals and physical needs
  • Serve as a lead instructor and mentor within our in-house Teacher Training Program Saturdays 2-7p and Sundays 12-5 as needed.
  • Share curriculum, assess trainee progress, and provide constructive, encouraging feedback to instructors in training
  • Collaborate with our massage therapy and wellness team to support clients with complex recovery or therapeutic needs
  • Maintain the highest standards of client safety, technique, and care in every session
  • Contribute to a warm, professional studio culture that reflects our values

Qualifications

Required

  • Comprehensive Pilates certification (full apparatus)
  • Minimum 1 years of teaching experience, including group class instruction
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring or training other Pilates instructors
  • Strong communication skills and a genuine passion for client education and wellbeing
  • Comfort working with a therapeutic, medically informed client population (post-surgical, chronic conditions, or similar)
  • Ability to work within a collaborative, boutique studio environment

Preferred

  • Master Trainer or senior instructor credentials through a recognized Pilates organization
  • Stott Pilates training or Classical certification
  • Experience in wellness settings with a rehabilitation or therapeutic focus
  • Familiarity with populations such as post-operative recovery, lymphedema, or oncology clients
  • Background in movement education, anatomy, or a complementary modality (yoga, physical therapy, etc.)

What You Will Love About Working Here

A studio that means something. We are not a chain. Every client who walks through our door is trusting us with their body and their healing. That matters to us — and it will matter to you.

Boutique class sizes. With a maximum of 5 clients per class, you will actually know your clients. You will see their progress. You will feel the impact of your work.

A team that has your back. Our practitioners bring decades of combined expertise across Pilates, massage therapy, manual lymphatic drainage, yoga, and post-surgical care. You will have colleagues who challenge and support you.

Room to grow. We are actively expanding — adding staff, building out our in-house training program, and growing our footprint in the Napa Valley wellness community. This role grows with us.

A beautiful space. Stott equipment in a thoughtfully designed, serene studio environment. No fluorescent lights, no crowded locker rooms — just a space where people come to heal.

Competitive compensation. We invest in our team. Compensation details will be discussed during the interview process and reflect your experience and credentials.

How to Apply

If this opportunity speaks to you, we would love to hear from you.

Please send your resume and a brief cover letter telling us about your Pilates journey, your approach to teaching and mentorship, and why Wine Country Movement feels like the right fit — to:
