Trainer

At Anytime Fitness everything revolves around how we โ€œCoach, Care and Connectโ€ with our members. Your opportunity to work for us will be a formulative, educational and pivotal chapter in your personal training career and an opportunity to root for years & years in our dynamic, fun and awesome community! A trainer is responsible for delivering fitness consultations, which include movement assessments and body scans and uses information gathered during the member onboarding process to suggest training options (self-directed, group training, one-on-one personal training, etc.) for each member or prospect. A trainer qualifies, informs, inspires, and converts leads to long-term training clients. This person also performs personal and group training sessions and coordinates follow-up appointments to keep training services at the forefront of members' minds.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts fitness consultations for new clients including pre-participation screening, Medical History, Lifestyle questionnaire, and goal setting to assess and recommend training programs.
  • Develop individualized exercise programs consistent with a memberโ€™s personal fitness and exercise goals.
  • Deliver either pre-designed workouts or creates and delivers custom workouts to groups of 1 โ€“ 15 members.
  • Continually monitors and assists members to ensure proper form is used when performing exercises.
  • Instructs clients during training sessions on the safe and effective use of cardiovascular, flexibility and strength training equipment.
  • Responsible for achieving monthly training revenue goal established by management team.
  • Attend weekly/monthly team meetings.
  • Understands how to administer body scan technology and interpret results.
  • Partners alongside member sales team to promote membership sales.
  • Ensures facility cleanliness and tidiness.
  • Remains current on certifications, continuing education and new trends in the industry.
  • Provides back-up to the manager in event the manager is not available.
  • Takes on some operational tasks to help promote membership and training services through social media, engagement campaigns, national marketing campaigns, and community outreach efforts using assets and operations created by the Anytime Fitness corporate teams.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills are a must, along with a top-tier customer service approach to conducting business
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Certified personal trainer from a nationally accredited organization (i.e. NASM, ACSM, ACE, NSCA, ISSA, etc.)
  • CPR, First Aid and AED certified
  • Knowledge of fitness, endurance training, strength/power training and program design, using the tools given to optimize client results
  • Strong ability to coach and manage time, motivating multiple clients in a group setting
  • Desire and capacity to coach all fitness levels
  • Ability to perform an aerobic activity for the duration of a class and be able to bend, stand, reach, climb and lift up to 45 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Kinesiology, Sports Medicine or health related field
  • Experience with fitness club management software (Club OS, Club Ready, apps like My Fitness Pal, etc.)
  • Previous sales experience
  • Personal and group training experience
  • Virtual personal training experience
