Program Manager of Fresh Start

Compensation based on experience and education, up to $55,000 base salary with additional incentives available.

As a Full-time Program Manager in Intercept's Fresh Start Program, you will oversee all staff and direct care issues and services, ensuring effective leadership-based management of program with an emphasis on high quality care delivered in a cost-effective manner by performing the duties outlined below. Will maintain weekly communication and/or supervision with their Regional Program Manager for oversight of job responsibilities.

The selected candidate will have:

Required:

  1. A master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling; or
  2. A baccalaureate degree in social work or psychology with documented field work experience and must be supervised by the program director or other staff employed by the provider with the same qualifications as required by 22VAC40-151-290 D; or
  3. A baccalaureate degree and three years of professional experience working with children.

Preferred:

QMHP and Master's degree in a human services field with three or more years' experience with children, one of which is in a residential facility;

Bachelor's degree in a human services field required with five or more years' experience with children two of which are in a residential facility;

Two or more years' in group home management/supervision or similar experience.


The Program Manager assumes responsibility for the coordination of all services offered to each resident within his/her home; these services include, but are not limited to:

  • Helping the resident and parent and/or legal guardian understand the effects of separating a resident from the family, as well as what he/she can expect in terms of effect of group living
  • Assist in establishing and/or maintaining a relationship with his/her family and to effectively plan and prepare for the resident's future care
  • Assist residents in developing functional interpersonal skills needed for success in life
  • Conveying resident's needs to staff members to promote positive adjustment to group living
