Job description

The Group Fitness Coordinator (GFC) is the club leader for all Group Fitness activities including but not limited to class schedules, instructor schedules, and training. The GFC will promote diversity and acceptance and create a warm welcoming environment for members while ensuring our members receive the highest quality of service and clean facilities. He or she will exhibit an ability to achieve the targets for the club as outlined in the operational plan by motivating, leading, supervising and coordinating the activities of team members engaged in servicing our member needs. The GFC will demonstrate an aptitude and command of all company-wide policies and initiatives to ensure the integrity of the CRUNCH brand.
Administration and Organizational Responsibilities
• Respond to all member issues concerning the Group Fitness program and resolve member complaints in an expeditious and tactful manner following club procedure and documentation
• Serves as the main contact for the location concerning all GF and SGT programming
• Recruits, staffs and develops the instructor team for both GF and SGT
• Communicates club level GF and SGT programming to all instructors
• Distribute, supply and maintain club schedules for both GF and SGT
• Ensure all classes are covered and facilitate sub procedures/system.
• Illustrate an ability to make decisions.
• Recruit and interview and hire talented team members
• Evaluates class participation in all formats and reports data to club management
• Teaches actively on both the GF and SGT schedule
• Submit payroll information in accordance with the payroll schedule
• Facilitate the implementation of new programming
• Cross promotes personal training and group training to ensure the success of both programs
• Supervise all group fitness marketing and ensure that all promotions are effectively communicated to the team and all other appropriate staff.
• Participate in the distribution of social media marketing
• Ensure the Group Fitness/Ride and HIIT areas are clean and organized
Personnel Management
• Demonstrate the ability to lead, motivate, and manage team.
• Emphasize importance of staff involvement in the community and neighborhood businesses and recruit new local businesses into the Member Perks.
• Support personnel related problems or difficulties by following club procedure and documentation.
Operational Responsibilities
• Promote a professional and welcoming atmosphere that enhances the quality of service and care offered to the members.
• Ensure the Group Fitness Room and Small Group Area meets high standards for cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and security.
• Conduct inspection of the areas that you are responsible for by utilizing the Walk CRUNCH daily checklist.
• Ensure visible maintenance items are repaired promptly, proper signage is posted
• Build a Culture of Cleanliness by reinforce to staff the cleanliness is everyone's responsibility, not just the maintenance staff.
• Ensure proper inventory of equipment that is needed for class
• Assist in the processing/submission and approval of payroll.
Compensation: $21,600.00 per year
