Job description

Winter Environmental is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager Environmental Remediation to lead complex environmental remediation and environmental construction projects throughout the Southeast and Eastern United States.

This is a leadership role for an accomplished project manager who enjoys managing technically challenging projects while mentoring teams, building client relationships, and driving operational excellence. The ideal candidate has a proven record of successfully delivering environmental remediation projects and is looking for an opportunity to grow with a well-established, nationally recognized environmental contractor.

Travel is required. Company-paid travel expenses and per diem are provided when applicable.

What You'll Do
  • Lead multiple environmental remediation and environmental construction projects from proposal turnover through final completion.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers, project engineers, and field personnel.
  • Develop project execution strategies that prioritize safety, quality, schedule, and profitability.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting, contract administration, procurement, and financial performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies.
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, remedial designs, and contract documents.
  • Support estimating, project pursuits, value engineering, and preconstruction planning.
  • Work closely with field leadership to proactively solve technical and operational challenges.
  • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with project specifications, environmental regulations, and company safety standards.
  • Support business development efforts by maintaining existing client relationships and identifying future opportunities.
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
  • Eight (8) or more years of experience managing environmental remediation, environmental construction, heavy civil, or related projects.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, contract administration, and risk management.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications, remedial designs, and contract documents.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast and Eastern United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related field.
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER.
  • Experience with environmental remediation technologies and treatment systems.
  • Experience managing industrial, manufacturing, utility, healthcare, or federal projects.
  • Experience supporting business development, client management, or strategic project pursuits.
