What is Pet Supplies Plus?
As a franchise location of Pet Supplies Plus, we will not only work with pets and fellow pet lovers, we will be an integral part of the community! Pet Supplies Plus is focused on making it easier to get better products for your pet(s). This easy to navigate store will offer a wise assortment of natural foods, hard goods, and pet services. Friendly, knowledgeable staff get to know each pet and their owner by name and provide playful store experiences to remind them just how fun it is to own a pet! Pet Supplies Plus stores are large enough to house an incredible variety of food and equipment, yet small enough to still feel neighborly.
In addition to selling supplies for pet owners in the community, this location will provide grooming and washing services to our guest's PAWsome pets!
Who are we hiring?
Are you ready for a dog-gone good time? We are on the search for a positive, motivated and pet-loving leader to join our team as the Store Manager for our brand new location! As the Store Manager you will:
  • build your team from the ground up, partnering closely with our Franchise Operations Manager to ensure the right roles are posted and hired for prior to store opening
  • actively participate and lead various projects and initiatives to ensure our new Pet Supplies Plus store is ready for grand opening day
  • create a fun, positive environment for your team and guests and build a reputation for knowledgeable, trustworthy, and petcentric service in our community!
  • provide exceptional service at every opportunity during your work day
  • analyze your store sales results and develop plans to maximize sales, guest engagement, and employee productivity

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Adhering to operational policies and procedures (animal care, safety, cleanliness and security) that ensure exceptions service is provided to our guests
  • Achieving strong store audit and neighbor engagement scores which promote our brand
  • Using broad business knowledge to affect store results, including sales (pet grooming and other services as applicable), loyalty program membership, and guest engagement while operating within budget
  • Ensuring work schedules are created to maximize productivity and guest engagement
  • Promoting employee engagement and morale by understanding individual motivation and needs, recognizing and rewarding successful performance, and helping them achieve career goals
  • Maintaining a fully staffed team and leading recruiting and onboarding for all levels in the store
  • Cultivating a learning culture by providing exceptional onboarding and development opportunities, along with coaching and feedback to team members
  • Connecting with community organizations to partner on events and marketing opportunities

Qualifications
What are we looking for?
For this position, individuals must be at least 18 years of age or older and having a passion for working with both animals and people!
We welcome an individual with previous pet store management or retail leadership experience, but are happy to train the best person for the job!
Pay Range
USD $55,000.00 - USD $87,000.00 /Hr.
