ย POSITION SUMMARY

Overland Corporation is seeking a dependable and hardworking Asphalt Plant Ground Hand to support daily operations at our Lawton, Oklahoma asphalt plant. This position is responsible for assisting with plant maintenance, equipment servicing, housekeeping, and general labor activities to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

ย JOB DUTIES & REQUIREMENTSEssential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of asphalt plant equipment.

  • Grease and lubricate plant components to ensure proper operation.

  • Monitor and maintain fluid and oil levels in plant equipment.

  • Assist with minor equipment repairs and preventive maintenance activities.

  • Operate plant equipment and loaders as directed and qualified.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the plant, yard, and work areas.

  • Perform general labor tasks including shoveling, sweeping, raking, and material cleanup.

  • Assist with steam cleaning, painting, tire work, and mechanical repairs.

  • Support plant production activities and operational needs as directed.

  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental regulations.

  • Work effectively with supervisors, operators, mechanics, and fellow team members.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

ย KNOWLEDGE
  • Basic knowledge of asphalt plant operations and maintenance practices.

  • Understanding of lubrication, greasing, and equipment servicing procedures.

  • Familiarity with mechanical systems and preventive maintenance concepts.

  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices and hazard recognition.
