Job description

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Part-Time Bather to join our grooming team. In this role, you will assist in providing exceptional care for our patients by bathing and preparing them for grooming services. You will ensure that pets receive a positive and stress-free experience while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This position is ideal for someone who loves working with animals and is eager to contribute to a friendly, team-oriented environment.
  • Specific duties may include: 
    • Bathing: Washing dogs using appropriate shampoos and conditioners, ensuring a thorough clean. 
    • Drying: Safely and effectively drying the dog's coat, using towels and potentially dryers. 
    • Brushing: Removing loose hair, mats, and tangles from the dog's coat. 
    • Nail trimming: Trimming dogs' nails to a safe length, often using clippers. 
    • Ear cleaning: Cleaning the ear canal to remove debris and wax buildup. 
    • Maintaining grooming area: Keeping the bathing and grooming area clean and organized. 
    • Interacting with customers: Communicating with pet owners about their dog's grooming needs. 
    • Monitoring dog's well-being: Observing the dog for any signs of health issues or discomfort during the grooming process.
    • Assisting groomers: In some cases, dog bathers may also assist professional groomers with more advanced tasks like clipping and styling.
  • Previous Experience: Experience as a bather or in a related role, such as in a grooming or veterinary setting, is preferred but not required.
