Job description

POSITION PURPOSE
The Corporate Director of Revenue Management ("CDORM") is a hands on working, multi-property strategic commercial leader responsible for maximizing topline hotel performance across a portfolio of independent, lifestyle, boutique, and destination hotels. This role requires a highly analytical and tactical revenue strategist with deep expertise in independent hospitality revenue management, digital distribution, OTA optimization, market share displacement strategies, and total hotel profitability.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on revenue leader with a proven ability to outperform competitive sets through sophisticated pricing, inventory, segmentation, forecasting, and digital channel strategies. This individual must possess advanced knowledge of independent hotel commercial ecosystems and understand how to strategically position hotels against branded and independent competitors alike.
The CDORM will directly oversee revenue strategy, distribution optimization, inventory controls, forecasting, business intelligence, and channel performance while partnering closely with Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Ownership groups to drive RevPAR Index (RGI), market penetration, profitability, and long-term asset value growth.
This position is remote with quarterly hotel visits and additional travel as needed.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate is an expert in independent and non-branded hotels with a demonstrated history of outperforming market competitors through aggressive yet strategic revenue and distribution tactics. They must thrive in fast-moving environments where independent thinking, creativity, accountability, and commercial agility are critical to success.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 5-7 years of progressive hotel revenue management experience required.
• Minimum 3 years overseeing independent, lifestyle, boutique, resort, or non-branded hotels strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success driving RevPAR Index (RGI), ADR growth, market share penetration, and topline revenue performance.
• Strong experience navigating OTA ecosystems including Expedia Group and Booking Holdings platforms.
• Proven ability to develop and execute competitive displacement strategies.
• Multi-property revenue management experience strongly preferred.
• Experience working with ownership groups, asset managers, and executive leadership teams preferred.

• Continuously evaluate OTA contribution and develop strategies to increase direct channel contribution while maintaining optimal channel mix.
• Analyze competitive pricing behavior, compression patterns, booking windows, and market demand drivers to identify revenue opportunities.
• Monitor pace, pickup, wash, denial reports, no-shows, cancellations, and booking trends to proactively adjust strategy.
• Produce detailed weekly, monthly, and long-range forecasts with actionable strategic recommendations.
• Conduct weekly Revenue Strategy Meetings with property leadership teams including General Managers, Directors of Sales, Marketing leaders, and Operations teams.
• Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to optimize digital campaigns, need periods, promotional strategies, and business mix.
• Collaborate with Operations teams to ensure revenue strategies align with guest experience and operational execution.
• Utilize business intelligence tools and market data to identify emerging trends, market shifts, and revenue opportunities.
• Evaluate and improve rate parity, distribution costs, and overall channel profitability.
• Develop and mentor on-property revenue leaders and commercial team members.
• Maintain expert-level understanding of hospitality technology platforms, integrations, and evolving revenue management best practices.

EDUCATION
High school or equivalent education required. Bachelors Degree and/or equivalent level of education preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to travel regularly (50-75%)
  • Environmental conditions are inside, a job is considered inside if staff spends approximately 90 percent or more of the time inside. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.
  • Must be able to sit at a desk for up to eight (8) hours per day. Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
  • Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other departments of the hotel on a timely basis.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally.
