Reports To: Grill Supervisor, Grill Leads, Golf and Grill Administrative Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Founder’s Grill Associate is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the Founder’s Grill, which services both the pool area and golfers during events, holidays, and busier days. This role involves maintaining, cleaning, and prepping the Founder’s Grill area, as well as cooking and serving food during operational hours. The Founder’s Grill Associate will work closely with the Grill Supervisor and Grill Leads to ensure the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness, and member satisfaction are met.

Operations & Food Preparation:

• Operate the Founder’s Grill, cooking items such as burgers, hot dogs, and other grill offerings as per club menus and member requests.

• Follow all food safety standards, including proper handling, cooking temperatures, and sanitation practices.

• Prepare and organize food and grilling ingredients in advance of opening, ensuring that all supplies are stocked and ready for service.

• Maintain the flow of food production during peak hours to ensure timely service to pool-goers, golfers, and event attendees.

Maintenance and Cleaning:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Founder’s Grill area, ensuring all surfaces, cooking equipment, and utensils are cleaned and sanitized throughout the day.

• Clean and inspect the Founder’s Grill before and after shifts, ensuring it is in good working condition and reporting any maintenance issues to the Grill Supervisor and Grill Leads.

• Dispose of waste and debris regularly to maintain a safe, clean, and attractive work environment.

• Ensure proper storage of food items and ingredients according to health and safety guidelines.

Customer Service:

• Interact with members and guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner while providing excellent customer service.

• Take food orders, answer questions about the menu, and provide information on daily specials or promotions.

• Ensure that orders are prepared correctly and served promptly, paying attention to detail to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Address and report any member concerns or issues to the Grill Supervisor, Grill Leads or Golf and Grill Administrative Supervisor, ensuring prompt resolution.

Team Support:

• Work closely with other team members, including kitchen staff, the Food and Beverage Director, and others to ensure smooth operation during service.

• Follow directions from the Grill Supervisor. Grill Leads and Golf and Grill Administrative Supervisor to assist with any additional tasks as needed.

Inventory and Stock Management:

• Assist with inventory management by ensuring proper storage and rotation of food supplies. (FIFO)

• Help maintain inventory levels of grilling essentials (e.g., condiments, meats, and sides), notifying the Grill Supervisor or Grill Leads of any low stock levels.

• Perform occasional inventory counts, helping to track stock for reordering purposes.

Health and Safety:

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations regarding food preparation, grilling, and kitchen cleanliness.

• Comply with local health department regulations and internal safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for staff and guests.

• Maintain personal hygiene and wear the appropriate uniform and protective gear while working in the Founder’s Grill area.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a food service, food preparation or grilling is preferred but not required.

• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

• Ability to operate a grill and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.

• Ability to work well under pressure, especially during busy times such as events and holidays.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and during peak seasons.

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

• Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions, including heat, wind, and rain as necessary.

• Experience working in an indoor/outdoor grill or similar environment.
