OBJECTIVE:
Green Keepers perform routine manual labor involved in golf course maintenance. Greens Keeper operates equipment ranging from small hand tools to large motorized machinery. This position requires some familiarity and understanding of the methods and operations of golf course maintenance.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work begins early AM
Must be available to work weekends
Work is outside in all types of weather including extreme heat and cold, rain, and humidity.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Always be Barona NICE to fellow staff and players; find every opportunity to offer a friendly smile, wave and greeting.
2. Performs all the duties ascribed to the Greens Keeper.
3. Operates mowers in cutting greens, tees, collars, approaches, and roughs.
4. Maintains sand bunkers.
5. Performs course set up and preparation.
6. Assists in projects including but not limited to; Aerifing, Topdressing, Fertilizing, Sodding, Seeding, Planting, Edging, and Excavating.
7. Maintains landscape areas, trees, streams, lakes, and native environments.
8. Performs other duties as directed.
9. Operates a wide variety of machinery including Verticutters, Aerifiers, Topdressers, Sprayers, Fertilizer Spreaders, Sweepers, and other motorized equipment.
10. Performs hole location changing procedures on greens.
11. Assists in identifying necessary repairs or preventive measures.
12. Performs other duties as directed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires knowledge of the safe, efficient operation of a variety of mechanized or motorized equipment Requires understanding of operating principles of maintenance machinery including cutting mechanisms, patterns of mowing, etc.
This position is open to those candidates who possess experience and skills acquired through previous golf course employment or have attained this level working for Barona Creek Golf Club. They are expected to demonstrate proficiency in common practices and routines utilized in golf course maintenance.
ALTERNATIVE TO MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous Golf Course Experience.
