Mr. Handyman and Mr. Rooter Plumbing are looking for an outgoing, motivated Commercial Business Development Representative to help grow our commercial handyman and plumbing divisions throughout Middle Tennessee.
This is not a position where you sit behind a desk all day. You will be out in the community meeting local business owners, property managers, facility managers, real estate professionals, general contractors, and other commercial decision-makers.
Your goal will be to introduce our companies, learn about each business’s maintenance and repair needs, and become the trusted person they call when they need commercial handyman or plumbing services.
We are a locally owned and operated family of home-service companies with a strong reputation for professional service, quality workmanship, and standing behind our work. We are looking for someone who can represent our companies professionally and build relationships that lead to long-term, repeat business.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Visit local businesses throughout Hendersonville, Nashville, Gallatin, Goodlettsville, Madison, Mt. Juliet, Lebanon, and surrounding communities.
  • Introduce Mr. Handyman and Mr. Rooter Plumbing to potential commercial customers.
  • Build relationships with business owners, property managers, facility managers, maintenance directors, apartment communities, restaurants, retail locations, churches, schools, healthcare facilities, and other organizations.
  • Identify businesses that need ongoing handyman, maintenance, repair, or plumbing services.
  • Schedule meetings, property walkthroughs, estimates, and introductory appointments for our operations and estimating teams.
  • Follow up with prospective customers by phone, email, text, and in person.
  • Develop relationships with commercial referral partners, including real estate agents, insurance professionals, restoration companies, contractors, and property management firms.
  • Attend local networking events, chamber meetings, trade shows, and community events.
  • Maintain accurate records of visits, contacts, opportunities, and follow-up activities.
  • Work with the marketing and operations teams to develop commercial service programs and maintenance agreements.
  • Follow up after completed jobs to make sure customers are satisfied and identify additional service opportunities.
  • Help turn one-time commercial projects into ongoing customer relationships.
  • Represent our brands professionally at all times.
