Job Summary

This job entails writing and maintaining clean, efficient code for various software components while following development best practices. It supports the design and innovation of new applications that align with business goals. It involves implementing testing frameworks and expanding them to validate software, documenting development processes for knowledge transfer, and analyzing integration needs. Responsibilities also include collaborating with Quality Assurance to meet technical standards and troubleshooting to improve performance and user satisfaction.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Writing and maintaining efficient code for software components, adhering to best practices in development
• Supporting the design and development of new software applications aligned with business objectives
• Implementing testing frameworks for software validation, including unit and integration tests, to ensure quality
• Documenting the software development process, including design and deployment procedures, to facilitate knowledge sharing
• Analyzing software integration needs and planning system architecture to meet technical specifications
• Reviewing current practices and technical literature to inform project solutions and applying engineering methodologies
• Working with Quality Assurance to ensure applications meet technical requirements and fit specifications
• Troubleshooting software issues, providing resolutions to enhance application performance and user satisfaction
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Software Developer or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of programming languages, especially Java, JavaScript, Python
• Experience working with Graph databases, especially Neo4j
• In-depth knowledge of writing database queries and API queries, primarily Cypher and GraphQL
• Strong skills in all parts of testing, especially integration, regression, end to end and smoke testing.
• Experienced with Behavioral Driven Development testing framework, especially Karate.
• Experienced working with AWS, Linux and Windows environments.
• Front end experience with HTML, CSS, a plus.
• C, C#, Ruby experience a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Great attitude with a drive to continuously improve.
