Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Assistant to join our production team.

What You'll Do...

  • Review cut lists for current orders and cut markers prepared by Tech Design and Patterning
  • Meet or exceed due dates while making efficient use of fabric and time
  • Perform CNC maintenance tasks as requested by the Production Manager
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the CNC bay
  • Label each cut item or bags of cut items to standards set by management
  • Label bins to standards set by management
  • Keep cut stock bins and kitting supply bins filled to pars
  • Cut stock and customer orders to ensure timely delivery to Production when day shift is unable to complete the full cut list
  • Great attention to detail with goal driven attitude
  • Ability to work independently, balancing priorities to adhere to a production schedule
  • Proficient in high school level math for precise measurements and job-related calculations
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime as needed
  • Perform quality checking and packaging of finished goods when assigned

Requirements

What You'll Bring...

  • Experience operating a Zund cutter, Gerber cutter, Lectra, Eastman, or similar digital cutting systems, as well as experience with CAD/CAM software, textile or fabric cutting, sign and graphics production, or pattern cutting in any manufacturing environment
  • Ability to handle quickly changing priorities in a production environment
  • Industrial sewing and/ or pattern making skills are not required but are a plus   
  • Experience with common administrative software such as Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
  • Experience working in an MRP environment is a plus
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills preferred

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines
  • Participate in meetings as directed by management
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Physical Demands

  • Large percent of time performing tedious tasks in varying positions including standing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling
  • Ability to stand, sit, and move within the facility for prolonged periods.
  • Capable of lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying up to 50 pounds
