Junior Designer Intern

Pursuit is seeking a Junior Designer Intern to support the creative team across social media, brand design, events, web, and content production. Reporting to the Head of Creative, this person will use AI tools and other software to execute a wide range of creative projects spanning print and digital design, photography, video, social, and website updates.

This is a highly executional, production-focused design role ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and excited to work across fast-moving creative workflows. This is not a simple design role. The person in this role will help manage and prepare large volumes of visual assets, take photos and record videos for content production across platforms, and contribute to both print and digital design with quick turnaround times.

The role will support organization-wide storytelling through not just design, but also photographing and documenting events, capturing behind-the-scenes content, assisting with photoshoots, video production during evening or off-site events as needed.

The ideal candidate is someone with strong technical design skills, good visual judgment, and the ability to balance speed, organization, and consistency across many simultaneous projects. We would especially prioritize someone interested in AI-assisted creative workflows and modern content production tools as Pursuit is an AI-native organization.

This role is critical to supporting Pursuit's meaningful mission as we continue building for the AI-first economy.

What You'll Do
  • Support the Head of Creative across social, brand, web, and content production projects
  • Edit, retouch, resize, and organize large volumes of photography and media assets with quick turnaround times
  • Prepare and export social assets for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, blog posts, newsletters, and web
  • Create graphics, layouts, mockups, and presentation materials
  • Assist with website updates and light UX/UI production tasks
  • Maintain organized file structures, creative assets, and internal libraries
  • Help prepare event, campaign, and marketing deliverables across print and digital platforms
  • Photograph and document events, capture behind-the-scenes content, and assist with video production
  • Experiment with and incorporate AI as part of the daily workflow

About You

  • Collaborative, kind, and excited to contribute wherever needed
  • Strong visual taste with an eye for clean, modern design that feels human
  • Strong visual judgment with an eye for clarity, simplicity, hierarchy, and composition
  • Ability to simplify complex ideas into clear and visually engaging content
  • Strong technical skills in Photoshop, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
  • Comfortable editing and organizing large batches of images and assets efficiently
  • Familiarity with photography, social content creation, and basic video editing
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines and fast-moving requests
  • Good visual judgment and understanding of brand consistency
  • Interest in AI tools and modern creative workflows
  • Excited to contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven team
Experience & Qualifications
  • 1-2 years of experience in graphic design, content production, social media, or creative-related work
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating design fundamentals, visual taste, and production skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Premiere, Express), Figma, and other creative tools
  • Experience editing and preparing photography and digital assets for social and web platforms
  • Familiarity with photography, short-form video content, and basic video editing workflows
  • Comfortable working across multiple projects with quick turnaround times
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Interest in AI-assisted creative workflows and emerging creative tools
  • Ability to support evening or off-site events as needed

Hours & Compensation:
