Job Description

The Marketing Intern is a part-time campus-based position responsible for supporting food service marketing initiatives, increasing student engagement, and promoting dining programs and special offers. This role serves as a liaison between campus dining operations and students by creating engaging content, supporting promotional events, and communicating marketing updates with site leadership, the Marketing Coordinator, and the District Marketing Manager.

The ideal candidate is a creative, organized student who enjoys content creation, social media storytelling, photography, videography, graphic design, and campus engagement.

Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week.

Job Responsibilities

   Create photo, video, and graphic content for Instagram and other social media channels to support campus dining promotions, events, and student engagement initiatives. Content will be developed in collaboration with the Marketing Coordinator and District Marketing Manager.
   Create engaging posts, stories, and other digital content that increases awareness and participation in dining programs.
   Host sample tables and promotional events to introduce students to new menu items, products, and dining experiences.
   Interact with students in a positive and professional manner to build excitement around campus dining offerings.
   Communicate regularly with the Marketing Coordinator, District Marketing Manager (DMM), and site leadership regarding upcoming marketing initiatives, campaigns, and promotional opportunities.
   Track ongoing marketing activities and provide updates on campaign performance and student engagement.
   Share marketing initiative updates and results with site leadership.
   Assist with the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, special events, and promotional activities.
   Gather student feedback and provide insights to help improve marketing efforts and dining experiences.
   Represent campus dining services in a professional and enthusiastic manner.

Qualifications

   Must be currently enrolled as a student at the university and able to provide a current class schedule as verification of enrollment and availability.
   Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
   Active user of social media platforms, particularly Instagram.
   Creative mindset with an interest in marketing, communications, or event promotion.
   Interest in marketing, communications, graphic design, digital media, public relations, or a related field preferred.
   Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
   Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented.
   Comfortable engaging with students and speaking to groups during promotional events.

Success Measures
   Consistent and engaging social media presence.
   Successful execution of sample tables and promotional events.
   Effective communication and collaboration with the Marketing Coordinator, District Marketing Manager (DMM), and site leadership.
   Increased awareness and participation in food service promotions and initiatives.
