Job description

Salary Range: $38,670 - $50,464.50 - $62,259 

FLSA: Nonexempt

The purpose of this classification is to install and maintain traffic signs and road markings.
Essential Functions:
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Leads the installation and maintenance of traffic control signs; assists the graphic design technicians; removes old signs and posts; responds to emergency calls; maintains daily record of installs and work locations; inspects traffic signs; directs traffic; and performs needed cleaning, repairs, or replacements.
Leads the installation of road markings; operates paint truck to install roadway striping; drives follow-up truck during roadway striping operations; paints and stencils traffic pavement markings; operates spray gun and roller; prepares work site; and mixes and loads paint.
Directs and trains crew members; inputs work order data; leads the maintenance of office space and equipment; cleans and maintains spray equipment; cleans and maintains vehicles; cleans office space; refills propane tanks; and inventories supplies and equipment

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; three years of experience installing and maintaining traffic signs and markers; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.

Specific License or Certification Required: Must possess and maintain a valid Georgia Commercial Driver's License, including appropriate endorsements.
