Are you a designer who loves the details that make a product stand out — color, materials, finishes, graphics, paint, decals and visual identity?

We have an opportunity for a CMF & Graphics Designer to work onsite at our client in Raymond, OH, supporting the development of Powersports products.

What you will be doing:

Support the development of production-ready Color, Material & Finish (CMF), paint, graphics, decals and visual design solutions for Powersports products.

You will work with Design, Engineering, Product Planning, Manufacturing and suppliers to take creative concepts through technical development and into production.

CMF & Graphics Development

  • Develop color, material, finish and graphic concepts for Powersports products.
  • Create production-feasible colorways, paint schemes, graphics, decals and surface treatments aligned with product and brand direction.
  • Develop and maintain color and graphic specifications, layouts, drawings and approval documentation.
  • Support evaluation and selection of paint colors, plastics, materials, finishes and graphics throughout product development.
  • Create graphic layouts, renderings and presentation materials to communicate design intent.

Production & Supplier Development

  • Support development of paint and molded-in-color plastic colors with suppliers and manufacturing teams.
  • Coordinate color matching, material/finish development, testing and approvals.
  • Support development and release of Color and Stripe documentation, drawings and specifications.
  • Participate in design reviews, build events, quality evaluations and production validation activities.
  • Help resolve color, material, finish and graphic issues during development and launch.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Industrial/Transportation Design, Engineering, Product Planning, Manufacturing, Purchasing and suppliers.
  • Communicate CMF and graphic intent to internal teams and external suppliers.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure design intent can be successfully executed in production.
  • Track development status, approvals, specifications and reference materials.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Transportation Design, Product Design, Graphic Design, CMF Design or a related design field.
  • 4+ years of experience in CMF design, color development, graphics, industrial/product design, transportation design or a closely related field.
  • Strong understanding of color, materials, finishes, paint, plastics, graphics and/or decals.
  • Experience developing designs for physical products with consideration for manufacturing and production requirements.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with rendering or visualization software is beneficial.
  • Strong visual communication, color coordination and graphic development skills.
  • Experience working with suppliers, manufacturing teams or production development is preferred.
  • Powersports, automotive, transportation, consumer product or durable-goods design experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating CMF, color/material development, product graphics, paint schemes, decals or production-oriented design work.
  • Interest in motorcycles, ATVs, side-by-sides, powersports or transportation products is a plus.

This is a 100% onsite position in Raymond, OH.
