Essential Functions:
  • Manage and execute social media content for The Essex Resort & Spa, Essex Kitchen, The Essex Experience, and Double E.
  • Create, schedule, and publish engaging social media content across multiple platforms.
  • Capture photo and video content showcasing hospitality, dining, spa, retail, entertainment, and special events.
  • Monitor social media channels and respond to guest inquiries and engagement in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the content calendar and organize marketing assets.
  • Coordinate donation requests and sponsorship fulfillment.
  • Assist with the creation and updating of marketing materials, including menus, signage, flyers, and Canva-based graphics.
  • Support marketing campaigns, events, and promotional initiatives while maintaining brand standards.

Marginal Functions:
  • Assist with on-property photo and video shoots.
  • Support marketing events and community outreach initiatives.
  • Perform other marketing and administrative duties as assigned.

Education:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.

Knowledge, Training, & Skills:
  • Experience managing business social media accounts (professional experience required; personal social media experience alone is not sufficient).
  • Strong photography and short-form video creation skills.
  • Proficiency in Canva is required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.) is nice to have!
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic graphic design and copywriting skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of professional experience in marketing, social media, communications, or related fields.
  • Hospitality, tourism, retail, or lifestyle brand experience is preferred.
