What is a graphics design internship?

Graphics Design Internships are short-term positions where students or recent graduates work with professional designers to gain practical experience in the field of graphic design. Interns typically assist with creating visuals for digital and print media, help develop branding materials, and learn how to use design software like Adobe Creative Suite. These internships provide valuable exposure to real-world projects, feedback from experienced designers, and the opportunity to build a professional portfolio. They can also serve as a stepping stone to full-time roles in the design industry.

What types of projects can I expect to work on during a graphics design internship?

As a Graphics Design Intern, you'll typically work on a variety of projects such as creating social media graphics, designing marketing materials, assisting with branding assets, and supporting ongoing campaigns. You may also collaborate with senior designers and other team members to brainstorm concepts and refine visual content. This hands-on experience helps you build a diverse portfolio and gain practical skills in design software, while learning to adapt your work to real client needs and feedback.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a graphics design intern, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Graphics Design Intern, you need a solid understanding of design principles, creativity, and proficiency in graphic design tools, often supported by coursework or a portfolio. Strong communication, time management, and openness to feedback help interns stand out in collaborative and fast-paced environments. These skills ensure interns can contribute effectively to projects, learn quickly, and support the creative team's goals.

Our vitamins, supplements, and better-for-you foods are scientifically formulated to help create healthier and happier lives for people of all kinds.
Our award-winning products are sold in thousands of retail and eCommerce stores nationwide, including Walmart, Amazon, Walgreens, Target, CVS, The Vitamin Shoppe, Sam's Club and iHerb. More than 50,000 people buy our products daily and that number is growing every month. You have the potential to make a real impact on people's lives by working at Force Factor to create products that Unleash Potential!
Culturally, think of us as an intense, meritocratic, and exciting high-growth startup that has survived and thrived through its first decade of rapid evolution and is now focused on scaling up to conquer the next decade's challenges and opportunities. We've accomplished a lot in our first 17+ years, but fundamentally know that we're just at the beginning of our journey, and that's where you come in! We need the smartest, highest energy people with real integrity who are looking to join an ambitious, hard-working team.
Force Factor is based in Boston's innovative Seaport District. Our team is filled with passionate, dedicated, and inspiring people operating with an ownership mindset (which is easy because we are entirely privately held and plan to stay that way). If you love a challenge, enjoy acting with urgency, and prefer to opt into a high-performance culture, when you join us, you'll feel like you've finally come home. Our private ownership structure is designed for the long term to enable huge opportunities for key team members to learn a ton, work with other A players and generate significant wealth, and we hope you'll choose to help us build an enduring and successful business for decades to come. There are two main reasons we're included on Bain's Insurgent Brands list of high-achieving CPG brands outperforming market growth: our people and our culture.
The Internship
As a Graphic Design Intern, you will play an integral role in creating visually compelling content that enhances Force Factor's brand presence across various digital platforms. Your creativity, time management skills, technical abilities, and passion for design will be key to delivering impactful visuals that resonate with our audience and support our marketing objectives.
Individuals selected for our Internship Program will actively contribute to our company's growth while benefiting from hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development.
