Red Deer Resort & Casino is a leading hospitality and entertainment destination in Central Alberta. We offer a dynamic environment where creativity, teamwork, and innovation are valued. We are currently seeking a skilled and energetic Marketing Coordinator to help enhance our brand presence and guest engagement.


Position Overview:

The Marketing Associate will support the Marketing Manager by executing marketing campaigns, promotions, and events designed to drive awareness and attract guests. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, creative, and passionate about marketing in a fast-paced environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create eye-catching graphics, images, and visual content for various marketing materials, including social media posts, email campaigns, website assets, and print collateral for both Hotel and Casino.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop visually appealing concepts and designs that align with our brand identity.
  • Ensure that all graphics are on-brand and maintain a consistent visual style across all marketing channels.
  • Assist in planning, executing, and measuring the success of marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Liaise with external vendors such as graphic designers, printers, and media outlets
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Must be an active member of the Hotel and Casino Social Committee Team.
  • Special other duties as assigned.


Education, Qualification and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.
  • Proven experience in graphic design and proficiency with design software such as Adobe Creative Suite or Canva.
  • Knowledge of AGLC Promotion is a strong asset.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an ability to create compelling marketing copy.
  • Understanding of digital marketing principles and social media platforms.
  • Excellent project management and organizational abilities.
  • Creative thinking and a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • As a condition of employment, associates are to have a criminal record check prior to their first day of work.

Work Environment

  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time;
  • Ability to work on a computer for an extended period.
  • Repetitive work such as keyboarding, filing, answering phones, etc.
  • Occasional Travel around Red Deer.
  • Often involves juggling many tasks and may become very stressful when business operations ramp up.

Hours of Work
The hours of work for this position are typically Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours or hours outside of these timelines may be required due to operational requirements. Any additional hours or overtime must be approved by the Marketing Manager prior to being worked.
