About the Opportunity

LINK is actively seeking a Senior Information Designer to join our dynamic team, where we collaborate with clients across a wide range of industries to create impactful visual stories that communicate complex ideas. You will be responsible for translating concepts into compelling visual products, including prototypes, wireframes, infographics, charts, and diagrams, to effectively convey both quantitative data and abstract ideas in print and digital formats. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative professional to apply human-centered design and design thinking principles to solve complex challenges and deliver visually engaging solutions. You will work closely with both internal teams and clients to understand their needs, develop intuitive information hierarchies, and create designs that support their goals.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Visual Journalism, Animation, Information Design, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in graphic design, information design, visual communication, or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Strong expertise in information design, visual storytelling, and communicating complex information through visual means.
  • Well-versed in a variety of design disciplines (e.g., information design, graphic design, brand development, experience design) and able to select the appropriate approach for a given challenge.
  • Strong understanding of information hierarchy, accessibility considerations, visual communication principles, and human-centered design methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex design efforts and translate information into clear, actionable visual products.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and craft.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Visual Problem Solving Serves as a trusted advisor to clients and project teams by translating complex challenges into clear communication strategies and visual approaches. Partners with cross-functional teams, including strategists, design strategists, engineers, researchers, and subject matter experts, to understand organizational priorities, audience needs, and communication objectives. Applies human-centered design principles to develop visual solutions that support stakeholder understanding, alignment, and decision-making. Translates quantitative and qualitative data, research findings, and complex concepts into compelling visual narratives and communication products. Develops information hierarchies, visual frameworks, and communication systems that improve comprehension, navigation, and usability. Guides visual approaches that help stakeholders understand complex systems, processes, concepts, and strategic initiatives.
  • Visual Design & Information Products Leads development of high-impact visual products including infographics, dashboards, diagrams, presentations, wireframes, prototypes, and decision-support materials. Establishes illustration approaches, visual frameworks, icon systems, and storytelling techniques that strengthen communication and improve audience understanding. Translates highly complex technical, operational, strategic, and research-driven information into compelling visual narratives and executive-level communication products. Provides guidance on accessibility, inclusive design, and Section 508-compliant approaches that improve the usability and reach of visual products. Establishes standards for templates, visual systems, and reusable assets that improve quality and consistency across engagements. Ensures visual products reflect strong information hierarchy, visual clarity, accessibility, and audience-centered design principles.
  • Collaborative Design & Iteration Collaborates effectively with internal and external stakeholders to develop visual solutions that address client objectives and audience needs. Facilitates design discussions, reviews, and working sessions that strengthen project outcomes and build stakeholder alignment. Uses visual prototyping techniques to explore concepts, communicate ideas, and evaluate potential solutions. Synthesizes feedback from clients and teammates into actionable design improvements and strategic recommendations. Balances multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality, consistency, and craft.
  • Brand & Creative Execution Develops and applies visual identities, brand systems, and communication approaches across a variety of formats and audiences. Provides guidance on typography, composition, hierarchy, color, illustration, and visual storytelling approaches. Ensures visual products consistently align with audience needs, communication objectives, and established brand standards. Demonstrates strong visual judgment and craftsmanship across all deliverables. Brings creativity, curiosity, and a problem-solving mindset to complex communication challenges.
  • Interactive & Digital Media Recommends the most effective medium or combination of media to communicate information, engage audiences, and support desired outcomes. Guides development of digital, interactive, and multimedia experiences that improve audience understanding and engagement. Applies storytelling principles across websites, dashboards, applications, motion graphics, video, and other communication channels. Helps teams evaluate emerging technologies, platforms, and communication approaches that may improve audience reach and effectiveness. Demonstrates curiosity and adaptability when exploring new communication mediums, technologies, and tools.
  • Team Development & Leadership Mentors teammates through coaching, knowledge sharing, and constructive feedback. Work Schedule

Full time, 40 hours per week Some travel required to attend relevant events and conferences, and participate in LINK team events

Salary

LINK is committed to offering competitive compensation. While the salary range for this position is $93,000 - $126,000 , your final offer may be adjusted based on factors such as experience and location.
