About Aimbient

Aimbient (formerly Surgical Safety Technologies) is a mission-driven medical technology company engineering the future of procedural care. Our Aimbient Suite is an enterprise ambient AI platform that captures, understands, and transforms procedural data into actionable intelligence to improve safety, quality, compliance, operational efficiency, and education across the procedural environment. Trusted by leading academic health systems across the U.S., Canada, and Europe, Aimbient is redefining how hospitals continuously improve care.

Founded in 2015, Aimbient is a private, Series B medical technology company headquartered across New York and Toronto. Backed by leading healthcare and technology investors, including Santé Ventures and U.S. Venture Partners. Aimbient is at an exciting stage of growth as it scales its AI platform across health systems worldwide.

About the Role

We're looking for a Graphic Designer to support our marketing and brand efforts through high-quality, thoughtful design across digital assets, editorial materials, presentations, and print. This role is ideal for someone with strong fundamentals in typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and storytelling. You'll help shape how our brand shows up across key marketing touchpoints — from PowerPoint presentations and case studies to social media graphics, website visuals, and event materials.

What You'll Do

Marketing & Digital Assets • Create supporting visuals for website content, including blog thumbnails, content graphics, and web assets • Design social media assets, especially for LinkedIn posts and campaign visuals • Produce marketing materials for campaigns, events, internal communications, and sales support • Organize and maintain design files, templates, and reusable assets for team access

Editorial & Document Design • Design long-form and structured materials, including user manuals, guides, and eBooks • Create editorial-style layouts for one-pagers, case studies, infographics, and internal documents • Ensure clarity, readability, and strong visual hierarchy across all document-based outputs • Prepare layouts and files for both digital distribution and print production

Presentations & Templates • Design and maintain PowerPoint presentations, master slides, and reusable templates • Translate content into clear, structured, and visually polished presentation layouts • Improve and evolve existing presentation templates while maintaining brand consistency • Support internal, sales, marketing, and leadership presentations

Illustration • Create clear, thoughtful hospital and healthcare-related illustrations to support communication and storytelling • Adapt illustration styles to fit existing brand guidelines and marketing needs

Print (Occasional) • Prepare print-ready files for occasional print and event materials, including posters, banners, brochures, and stickers • Coordinate file preparation with vendors or internal stakeholders as needed

How You'll Work

• Collaborate closely with marketing, leadership, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into effective visual solutions • Work from existing brand systems and templates while suggesting thoughtful improvements • Present design concepts clearly and incorporate feedback constructively

What You Bring

• 1–3 years of experience in graphic design, visual design, or a related design role

• Strong portfolio showcasing presentation, editorial, brand, digital, and/or marketing design work

• Strong foundation in typography, layout, and visual hierarchy

• Strong PowerPoint design skills, including experience with templates, master slides, and presentation systems

• Ability to create clear, thoughtful illustrations; healthcare or technical illustration experience is a plus

• Comfortable managing multiple concurrent design requests with varying deadlines

• Understanding of print production, file preparation, and export settings

• Strong attention to detail in layout consistency, spacing, typography, and formatting across high-volume outputs

Tools & Skills

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint

• Familiarity with Figma and Framer is a plus

• Comfortable working in a MacOS environment

• Nice to have: motion, 3D, video editing, or animation tools such as After Effects

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field

• Experience in healthcare or medical-related design is a plus

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $75,000–$100,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, qualifications, and location. In addition to base salary, Aimbient offers a competitive benefits package.

Life at Aimbient

We're a small, mission-driven team building technology that's already improving patient safety in hospitals around the world — and you'll be able to see your work make an impact from day one.

• Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage

• Flexible PTO

• 401(k) plan
