BRG Communications | Hybrid - Alexandria, VA

BRG Communications is an award-winning communications agency focused on health, wellness, and better living. Named PRWeek's 2026 Outstanding Small Agency of the Year, we help organizations and brands build awareness, trust, and action through strategic, integrated communications.

We're looking for a Graphic Designer who can turn ideas, information, and strategy into smart, polished visual work. This role supports both client and agency needs across brand development, campaigns and marketing materials.

About the Role

The Graphic Designer will work closely with creative, account, and business development teams in a fast-moving agency environment where strong design judgment, collaboration, attention to detail, and the ability to move quickly matter.

This position is hybrid and is based in Alexandria, VA. Expected in-office days are Mondays and Wednesdays. Additional in-person days may occasionally be required for quarterly collaboration days and other in-person business activities as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop creative concepts and visual solutions aligned with audience, brand, and communications objectives
  • Design across a wide range of formats, including presentations, proposals, reports, infographics, social content, digital toolkits, websites and microsites, brochures, event materials, campaign identities, and promotional materials
  • Translate complex information and data into clear, engaging visual stories

  • Partner with account teams to shape how ideas, information, and recommendations are visually presented
  • Support integrated campaigns with creative assets across print, digital, social, and experiential channels
  • Help maintain and evolve the BRG brand across internal, external, and business development materials
  • Prepare accurate, production-ready files for print and digital use
  • Incorporate feedback thoughtfully and efficiently while managing multiple projects and deadlines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional design experience; agency or multi-client experience strongly preferred
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating excellent layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and brand thinking
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Strong PowerPoint and Word design skills
  • Experience designing for both digital and print environments
  • Ability to visualize data and simplify complex information
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to polished, accurate work
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, curiosity, initiative, and a collaborative mindset
  • WordPress or CMS experience is a plus
